Continue or scrap the Crestwin Bomber stadium project?
Manitoba's premier said an announcement regarding a new financing deal for the football stadium may not occur Friday as planned."A final decision hasn't been made on that," Premier Greg Selinger said following question period Thursday afternoon. "It may not occur tomorrow but everybody's working towards a pre-Christmas decision."Selinger said working a guaranteed maximum price into the deal has been an important piece of the puzzle, but did not specify whether that or something else might be holding up the announcement."The reality is everybody has to be brought into the loop on this and brought up to speed and if that requires an extra day or two, so be it."A spokesman for Mayor Sam Katz said the deal has not yet been finalized and no announcement has been set for Friday."There's nothing, to my knowledge, happening tomorrow," the spokesman said.

I agree with this. It reverts back to the city, developer loses his money, if they could only do the same thing with surface parking lots.Deank wrote:grumpy old man wrote:Then stipulate the property MUST be fully developed by 2015 or the land reverts back to the city for the same price.
no.
reverts back to the city for free.
Gotta put some onus on the developers to do more then just park the money.
