the entire board should be fired. The arrogance resonating from them is unbelievable.

I think some people forget the mess he has brought the team back from , I do not think he is to blame and will be gone soon anyway . This season rests on Kelly and Bishops shoulders completely .

It goes without saying that Bishop has got to go.

Well, Doug Berry started 0-6, finished 6-2, final record 8-8, made the playoffs, then got fired.
Kelly had a worse record than that and missed the playoffs. Shouldn't he also be fired?

Why did they fire Berry? Kelly makes him look like Vince Lombardi..

I liked Cal Murphy myself. Lyle Bauer? Nice guy BUT....he seems to treat the position as Honourary imo. We can do better.

Berry finished 8-10 last year.

Yeah, my point was that Berry had a better season than Kelly and got fired.

I think what happened is that they went 0-6, Bauer called Kelly and told him he was going to fire Berry at the end of the season and offered him the job at that point.

However, I have heard that the players like Kelly better than Berry. Now if we could only find a quarterback.......

TICATS' FLOYD TRASHES BOMBERS HEAD COACH AFTER WIN



When the final whistle blew on Sunday's game between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers, it appears the fireworks were just beginning.
Blue Bombers head coach Mike Kelly and Tiger-Cats linebacker Otis Floyd had an angry exchange at the end of the game and Floyd carried it over to a post-game interview involving Hamilton quarterback Kevin Glenn.
The Blue Bombers were eliminated by the Tiger-Cats, who will host the B.C. Lions in the East Semi-Final on Sunday.
Floyd had been trash-talking with Winnipeg quarterback Michael Bishop before the game, leading Kelly to tell Floyd he wasn't smart enough to be a Bomber.
When asked about the exchange after the game, Kelly told the Winnipeg Sun, "Well, does Otis have a degree? I doubt it. We'll just leave it at that."
Following the final whistle, Floyd told reporters he approached Kelly and said, 'Better luck next year,' but was met with an expletive from the Blue Bombers' head coach. However, some witnesses said Floyd muttered more than just best wishes.
Later, while Glenn was taking questions from reporters in the locker-room, Floyd stepped in to offer some thoughts on Kelly's treatment of the former Bombers' pivot.
"The man has no class," Floyd told the newspaper. "(Kelly) made a lot of mistakes, you know what I mean? Kevin's got too much class to say it but I'm a little more on the rough side. I'm going to say what has to be said. You sit down one of your best linebackers (Barrin Simpson) in the whole league; you let go one of your best quarterbacks (Glenn) in the whole league; you let go one of your best receivers (Derick Armstrong) and this is what ya get."
Floyd went on to offer some suggestions to Kelly on what he could do on Sunday.
"Coach Kelly, you know, can get a big thing of popcorn and beer and whatever he likes to eat and watch us play next week, OK?," added Floyd.

I am a Bomber expert! It is an age thing. We have no quarterback, we have no receivers, we have no playoff hopes! Our coach is really funny, lacking in tact and I love the e-mail him the questions.
87% of this forum voted him to be fired before we got a few wins.
Can any of the forum experts tell me the difference in yesrerdays game versus the Montreal game? was it that Montreal didn't play their 1st string quarterback? didn't we score 40 points.
My that game was pathetic. Their defense shut our running game down, and when we were 1/8 in completions in the 2nd half I turned the game off.

Speculation is that they won't fire Bauer and Kelly because they cannot afford to do so. Perhaps is Dave Asper was the owner, he could afford to clean house.

I believe that Bauer and Asker are close friends. Bauer is supposed to report to the Board, but in reality, it's the person that is strongest around the Board that he is concerned with pleasing.

Guess who that is?
