Wow, they sure censor comments at the Sun - the interesting personal tidbits that may have shed some light on the situation are gone now.

yeah, from what I can tell they started censoring last weekish.

There seems to be a number of rumours floating as to why this business is closing, and I think that the vagrants and drunks are only part of it.
I don't think that the female partner should worry about not getting a job. Being outspoken and throwing a challenge to the civic and aboriginal leadership, someone should be backing her in the upcoming civic election. Its attitudes like her that are needed to make some solid changes in this city.

So this is an email that I received from a comment that I made on line in the paper, about a busy restaurant doesn't close, but it would be sold!

hallo,

it seams you are the only person who think about the real reasons for the closing.

i guess you are right.

i know john kreuzeder for about 4 years.

this guy is poison for everyone who have something to do with him.

he steals money, he try to damage relationships, he use other people for his goals.......

he have done this in germany and he do it here.

Edwin

With all thoe positive, personal attributes, you would think he should be running for Mayor, to spice up the election?

Portage has become what Main was...I keep say'n.

For the most part, this city has been run by clowns...so what can you expect eh?

to be fair both murray and katz tried to bring in laws that would be used against the bums. Human Rights advocates have stepped in both times.

I'm speaking to the issue of "revitalization".

We started to "revitalize" Main Street about 40 years ago and have only managed to shift the problems to Portage Avenue.

Now, we are "revitalizing" Portage Avenue.

Any bets on where "the problems" will go to next?

Heh...when you think about it, there's little difference between The Zoo and The Merch.

Both are blights on their neighbourhoods.

Yes but they are tax paying business's and exporters of woe .

So, I guess the MLCC and in turn Greg Selinger can be termed as "exporters of woe."

This is bizarre. I had no idea one could send e-mails to people posting comments in a paper. I assume this was the person who posted the personal comments which were removed. The Bavarian had a way of telling weird stories for sure.

Drunks did not force this guy to close up shop. The social engineering left-wing apologist Liberal - NDP government and their years and years of meddling in Manitobans lives have caused this.

I think I saw somewhere that his volume was down from $1000 per day to $300? Also his bank account was cleaned out by someone?
Those are pretty good reasons for closing, but I think if I wait awhil I will get the truth from that person emailing me.

Having his family booted out and replaced by a new "partner" may not have been very good for business ... who knows.

Please substantiate by providing solid examples with regard to this particular closure?
