The security in downtown parkades is non-existent. It used to be that you'd get broken into if you had anything visible (bags, etc) in your car. But now you don't even need to have anything showing to get hit sometimes.

"FauxGnus-itis.....a deadly disease that is creeping into Canada....symptoms include blowing news reports out of proportion, fear mongering and engaging in the spreading of inaccuracies on a regular basis without fact-checking beforehand....."

Treatment for this ailment? Other than a resounding smack to the head the simplest and least painful course of treatment is to wean the sufferer off of non-Canadian forms of reportage.

When I was in Vancouver a few years back I was visiting a friend who lived downtown. She had another friend visiting from Alberta....her friend from Alberta had her car stolen the same day she arrived. It happens everywhere....

If our City hadn't spent all of its money for a $20 million dollar contribution, in kind, for the Human Rights Museum, than we could have afforded closed circuit television for these important areas, and would be able to arrest these break and enter jerk offs!
