Refurbish the board by making the team fully publicly owned by selling shares (like the Riders, I like that idea, I'd probably buy a few shares for me and my family) and then refurbish the stadium with essential repairs/upgrades. (Essential does not include adding extra or lavish upgrades to private boxes etc.)

Bombers board.

Asper has (sorta) fallen on his sword for the betterment of the team. Are you willing to fall on your sword as well?

If we all had our druthers. Who would we appoint to the board?


Liv or some other businessman like him with fresh ideas and a drive would be one.
An ex player or two.
someone from the minor football ranks
some ( successful ) directors of large businesses.

I would just like to see honest people on the board. People honest enough to look at every possibility . it's clear , the board is infected by past Crocus cronyism. Most are from failed businesses. And they lack creativity for sure.

I know where a dozen could be found quite easily.....at any Bomber game.you would be able to find at least a dozen fans who could make a better go than these turks we have now.


Brown or Stegall would be a good choice for me to run a stadium/team., well at least in the first couple of years.

Fine, just make sure all the other upgrades are completed first, or at least are not being scaled back/eliminated due to the costs of upgrading boxes etc. is my point.

Agree boxes are a good source of Revenue.If it can be done cheaply enough do it.

I don't think an upgrade other than buying time is what we really need. If we can put a few mill in so far as making the Bombers bottom line stronger so be it. Fix the crappy concessions, enlarge washrooms.....buy 5 more years so a proper plan for a new stadium can be explored /implemented.

agreed. not much sense throwing a million or two at upgrading the boxes for 10 years. Fix what is broken, save money for a better stadium.

START CHARGING a small "build a new stadium" tax on the tickets now.

Interesting that in 2006 BA (before Asper) they pegged that stadium project cost at 165 million, with a hotel and water park to be included in that price. so maybe back then a 115 million stadium was possible?
Also interesting to re-read all the proposed locations.

I think they StB site for leo was coming in at around 400 million, different design though.

Repsa is in for the money, he don't give a toot about the team.
They just want the stadium blown down, just like what happened to the arena.
They want the money from new development.
