Watch what happens now with gas back to normal and not so much money coming in . he won't look so smart or be so witty. His share of the tax money has gone south . Any goverment would look good with that revenue coming in . See what the boy doe's now with the huge drop in Revenues .

Exactly. Then maybe hold off on the negative-sh1t-on-Harper shots until there is actually a reason to sh1t-on-Harper...

Why do they always gotta battle it out to the last man...
There was an election.
There is a new govt.
Then get things going!
Voting every two months is not the solution, working together is.
H*ll, if there aren't enough seats in parliament, then that must mean that the guys in there must be the finest around.

What is happening in Ottawa has become almost surreal...Dion and Layton taking power...WTF??

I wish I had hands the size of tennis rackets so I could really do some damage when I slapped those jerk-offs.

They've been drinking some weird sh*t-kool-aid in Ottawa...They're ragging on Harper's ass for, possibly, running a deficit, while pissed with him not spending on bail-outs. They should know that they can't have it both ways.

Did someone kick them out of the pond?
Or did Harper eliminate the fund covering the expenses for the guy drilling the holes for ice fishing?
That can get some politicians angry sometimes...

Gas back to "normal"?

How so?

For 10+ years gas hovered here around $.50/litre (give or take a nickel)...then in less than 5 years, it spiked to well over $1.00/litre...and now it's hovering around $.90/litre...that's normal?

I could understand if it dropped 1/2 way back to $.75/litre...but it's certainly not "normal".

I'd be willing to speculate...that it's all a plot in sociology.

Here's how:

Government: We need to raise the price of gas to $.90/litre so we can generate more taxes and buy more stuff.

Rich Oil Guys: Ok, but you know the public won't like that...you raise it from $.50 to $.90...they'll demand it go back down again.

Government: No problem...the public is stupid...so we need you to raise it ridiculously high, so we can charge $1.50/litre...then when it drops down to $.90/litre...the public will assume we did something great...and be happy because it's back to normal again.

Rich Oil Guys: Ahhh...sounds like a good plan...don't forget my cut on the deal.

Finally we have taken the boring out of our politics!
Harper is so great!
He , at least governs like "the man" and he is trying to bring in what the Conservatives ran their platform on, "Canadians are the most boring human beings"!
Taking away the BQ and NDP and Liberals 1.95 per vote, to save Canada $30 million is so funny, how can you not fall in love with His Party??

Yea Harper!!

Listen to CJOB. Now.
So basically, the losers can and will topple the Harper govt. UNLESS the people of Canada say and do something very more political to stop them.

actually... they can vote no on a matter of confidence.
To which the GG can either allow them to stay in power anyway after talking to harper and think that he can still pull it off.
She can grant the leadership to someone else.
She can call an election.
Its not the OTHER parties call as to what happens and quite frankly with THREE different parties with such vastly different agendas and the fact that a mear 9 votes is all that is needed by the conservatives to topple anyone else.... there is no way that a smart GG will even think of giving them a kick at the can just so a disgraced liberal leader can say he was prime minister even for a day.
If they pull the trigger and force an election they might as well be playing russian roullette with each chamger full of bullets.

Well common sense prevailed and Harper knew it from the get go to bad he had to go to this far. Some day maybe all of the fools on the hill can grow up and act like adults instead of little kids. The term Right Honourable should be abolished and I will never call my kid that he is much to smart for it .
This was easy for Harper to do as their party is flush with cash from oil . Wonder how he would have felt if it was a few years back when they did not have the perverble pot to in .
The whole process sucks and should be taken away let all the parties raise their own funds not take my dime. But this is Canada and we allow such crap from the people we elect
you will also notice I did not bash the conservatives Grumpy just all of them for they are all as bad. . I know Iam in Diefenbaker country on here ,and Dief never did take it well.
Criticism that is . Cool

Abolishing that $1.75 per vote payment was absolutely the right thing to do. I do not want my hard earned tax dollars subsidizing the Bloc and the NDP nor any other party. I trust that plan will be reestablished when the Conservatives have a majority.

Amen to that....Chretien brought that in when the Liberals were flush with cash and the Conservatives were down and out. How soon they forget....

Why can't they just go around selling fish, to get their campaign money... With all the time they spend fishing on the pond, they must have caught some suckers by now...

The GG believes in the people choosing I hear...according to Norm SPector....

In an interview in last Saturday's La Presse, Ms. Jean was asked whether her relations with Prime Minister Stephen Harper were "generally good."

She replied:

"They are what they must be between a Governor-General and a Prime Minister.

That's to say: mutual respect. Because this is part of respect for democracy. The people choose their government."
He goes on..
If Ms. Jean were to decide to hand power over to a Liberal-led coalition, Conservative voters would be furious. Western Canadians, in particular, would feel that the government had been stolen from them. Outside Québec, there would be strong resentment against a party dedicated to breaking up Canada having a role in governing the country.

I seriously doubt that she'd consider a tri-party coalition to be a viable alternate to the present government's situation.

and I think thats something that Harper should take into account and put the taking of the money back on the table.
Sounds like these crybabies want to still play with fire and vote against a non confidence motion. I want them too,

I think that in the next week we'll see a concerted effort to let Canadians know what the three other parties are all about...they want their entitlements!!!!

From what I've seen on the news, nobody was in agreement with their actions...this may indeed, come back and bite them in the ass.

Of course they do JTF...it's the liberal mentality of what's mine is mine and what's yours is also mine.
