This is a March 4th/ 2010 on line comment
"We sure have a good government compared to the Trudeau, Chretien, Martin years.
No corruption just solid decision making by some very bright people day in day out.

I don't trust those two. I just don't believe they won't form a coalition.

What I heard from the visiting professor yesterday was that he would not form a coalition with seperatists.

I took that to be a weasel-way of leaving the Red Door open to forming a coalition with the other professor. That seems clear to me anyway.

It's Harper you're not supposed to trust. These two have been trying to tell us that for years. We must be stupid. The Great Reconciliation is only a few short weeks away.

Male egos? Why even go there? 51 wimmin voted against the Conservatives.

Let's agree to leave it at that as this is not a wimmin - min issue... However should this thread start to go there we'll start a new thread.

All you guys comments about coalition, mean you have fallen for Harper's words.
For your information, the last 5 years with a minority government we have had Harper governing , based on support (coalition) from the NDP, the Liberals, and the BQ, from time to time.
I believe Harper got about 35% of the vote last election? I would rather have a government running things who have 65% !
If we had worked with that , we wouldn't be having an election right now.
The BQ would have gotten its 2.2 Billion that they got screwed out of for the HST, the NDP might have gotten the $700 Billion for the old age top up (and I would have another $800 per year, dearly needed to survive), and the Liberals would have gotten a proper leader! lol

Well then they should resign in disgust. And then sue these leaders for suppressing their voices. Right. They're as power thirsty as their so called masters - probably moreso.

And walk away from the money and the pension .
Surely you jest.
Especially for the responsibility most of them have.

Being that government is male dominated it is safe to say that the majority of those whose egos need constant stroking are male. No bait and no snide remarks are necessary nor is it necessary to give oneself a thumb's up...or is it? Hmmmm?

I would not vote for any of these parties as I believe they are all self-serving and not in it to represent the voters. We are living in corrupt times.

Not voting will get you nowhere. Real change will come with a Conservative majority. There is no other way out of the mess we're in - socially speaking.

Speaking of gov't and womin job ratio - has anybody been into any government office in recent years? The Companies Office and the Justice offices on Broadway are good examples. You won't see a single min working there amongst the sea of womin. Seems the new equal is everything - and then only up from there.

Miz Point this is Canada - there's nothing stopping you from starting your own party. Hell you could even make it a wiman's issue and get endless grants for start-up. It would be the perfect model for Canada - any and all opposition could of course be openly deemed as womin-descrimination and the scores would be endless. Or, as JTF points out - you could mop floors in Guatemala for a buck a day (or all the yams you can eat).

"Ignatieff wants out, and wants to return to the warmth and fuzziness of academic elitism, where he was respected and influential"...not where he's becoming a joke, even within his own party.

The Liberals are at 24% in the polls, and he trails them at 14%.

That says it all.

Incidentally, the poll was taken after the election call.
