"Ignatieff wants out, and wants to return to the warmth and fuzziness of academic elitism, where he was respected and influential"...not where he's becoming a joke, even within his own party.

The Liberals are at 24% in the polls, and he trails them at 14%.

That says it all.

Incidentally, the poll was taken after the election call.

Should we introduce a minimum number of seats = official party status? And if in place enforce it?

What I find most amusing here...is I think I've seen more Federal leader elections in Canada since I moved here...than US elections in the 30+ years I lived in the US.

How about national representation as well? How the hell can a party devoted to breaking one province away from Canada have status in parliament? Anywhere else, they'd be charged with treason & hung.

I'm still stunned by the fact that PEI has only 140K people but has 4 Senators and 3 members of Parliament.

Which goes back to my argument of there should be no such thing as provinces, they dont add anything to the equation and just suck money for nothing.

Letter to Editor Free Press today from New York.

"However, it must be acknowledged that Canadians are extremely lucky to live in a country where the system of democracy is so robust that an "allegedly repugnant leader" can be evacuated from office with a single vote, and without a soul having to take to the streets -- with the exception of the whole prorogation fiasco, of course."

Whenever you see someone from the Green Party complaining about Miss May being left out of the national televised debates please post this or reply with this or something similar

Is 1 million votes where democracy begins for Miss May?
If she truly believed in democracy she would want, nay DEMAND that all other federal parties be allowed to the debate

think that if a Registered Party with Elections Canada, And have

      So
then the PCs and bloc are out then? (and currently NDP until they
replace that person in Ontario who bowed out?) ... and if I am not
mistaken was there not one riding that never had a Liberal ...candidate during the last election?See More

cool. .I am just trying to understand what number democracy starts
at... I can understand your number... someone running in all ridings..
thats cool.. but it leaves us with just the NDP and Green in the debate.
Which quite frankly would be useless as a national debate.2 seconds ago · Like
