The GG will have to decide within the next few days to whether or not call an election or turnover power to Dion and the two other stooges.

Please e-mail her and tell her we want an election. Please.

I guess that way they can use the letter anytime, cause its always "today". I bet that was Jack's idea.

Maybe he didn't learn the part from his Word DVD about auto-inserting a date? Smile

You'd prefer the coalition in power? That scares the bejesus outta me.

Too late I'm afraid. The Stooges have started the fire already.

The GG has two choices only. Power to Dion or an election.

"I'm no handwriting expert, but I see that Layton is schizophrenic, Dion is confused about his real name and Duceppe doesn't know how to spell."
holy Frak.. never looked at that.... What is Duceppe trying to spell there? wait a minute.is that second part just an X? Can dueceppe not write his name and must use an X?

Harper's government is still viable. He and the 3 can agree on a aid package and move on with it...

I.e. all of your collective Conservative cheerleading ability to forget that, in 2004, Stephen Harper jumped into bed with the Bloc in order to try to unseat Paul Martin's minority gov't.

Yep. And signed the exact same doc that Dion and Layton signed this week.

Facts, people. Facts. Learn 'em.

But then... why have facts when you can just have ill-informed rants? They're so much more satisfying.
I was not offended the first time you said it but I am a little the second time. I don't see the reason to slag people simply because of their political beliefs in a mainstream party??? You also keep citing facts. Why not show some then. I may not be the sharpest pencil in the box but I genuinely do not recall a Harper led coalition whose sole ambition was to overthrow the government in an effort to take control.

Is your view that a Harper led coalition that had ambition to defeat the government in order to force an election the same as the current coalition?

Maybe the two are worlds apart eh?

GOM, seriously what do you expect from certain peeps? I remember when I was still posting in NWC wolfboy sent me a nasty pm accusing me of attacking him behind the anonymity of the internet because I don't agree with his political beliefs. I sent him one back and told him to call me anytime he is in Winnipeg, that I would have no trouble debating with him in person and gave him my full name and cell number. A short while later he sent me another message apologizing because he was intoxicated when he sent the original. So I would just take whatever he says with a grain of salt.

The Stooges won't go back now...they've gone "all in" on this one.

Still waiting for some facts regarding the alleged Conservative/Bloc coalition....still waiting.

LOL...keep waiting.

I don't believe having an election this spring will change anything.

I'd rather see the GG deny the coalition a chance to rule. Harper should dissolve parliament and reconvene in January, when cooler heads will prevail. Harper will recover from his lumps and will have to try to get Parliament working together, which was the raison d'etre for the last election, was it not?

The Liberals and NDP should be aware that Canadians are sick of elections and another one this soon won't mean anything. If one is called soon, I expect the turnout to be even smaller than the last one. Hell, I might even not bother to vote.

If there's going be an election, however, I'd like to see new leaders (interim, if need be) running the Liberals and Conservatives. That might make things just a tad more interesting.

I think Harper will prorogue parliament til January. But then the game is on anyway.

Unless the coalition backs down, which is highly unlikely, it's either or I believe.

The correct spelling of Mr Dion's first name is Stephane, so this thread title will have to be amended.

The 2004 "deal" between the Conservatives and the Bloc to force the Liberals to change their agenda:

However, this is not the same as trying to form a coalition government.
