You're right....there does seem to be a lot of crap coming out of that office.

I've always had the feeling that a lot more transparency is needed in the front office, including the Board's play.

I think it's time that the upper management of the team was relieved of their duties. That includes Bauer. He's the one who's hired that last several failures, it's time he did the honorable thing and dump Kelley before stepping down himself.

This doesn't make sense to me....I've always believed that Bowser was a lap dog for Asker, so if Asker gets the team, Bowser will have a home for a time to come.

I really dont think a time to come is the right statement. 1 year after ownership, perhaps two at most. Then when the economic model is tanking Asker will use him as blame for "too much thinking like the old ways"

No, I'm not really in favor of Asker's ownership bid. I like the idea of a new stadium, but completely surrendering the entire team to Asker is not a fair trade IMHO. I would have preferred instead, that Asker become majority owner, or something to the affect. As well, any sale of majority ownership to a private investor should include a clause along the lines of; should Asker decide that he's tired of playing with this toy, it's ownership would revert back to the public ownership as it is now, and the new Stadium (paid for with a mix of private and public dollars) would remain publicly owned as well. Pie in the sky indeed...

Bauer has been in charge of day to day operations for the team for quite a while, over 10 years...no? IMO, he bears "some" responsibility for the failures up to this point.

Simply put, IMO I think it's time this team's management had a whole house cleaning from top to bottom, starting with Bauer.

But that's just me, a loser Bumbler fan who gives a damn about how his team plays.

Don't forget the land that he's getting at Polo Park....afterall, isn't that what's it's all about?

I am happy to hear that. I like to keep in the loop on these things, but I hadn't heard much about the deal other than the new site would be @ the UofM, Asker gets the whole team as a toy, he gets the Polo site lock, stock and all, and all he has to do is pony up most of the cash (finally) instead of this being a mostly taxpayer funded endeavor.

It's part of the package. Asker has always maintained that that land is the only thing that makes this feasible. It's always been about the fcuken land.

he is getting it for "at market value" but without a bidding war of any kind at all. So I would say he is saving a million or so on the deal.

REAL market value is what the end bid is. NOT what an evaluator says it is worth.

Put that land out to market. Asper can have it for whatever the highest bid is.

I imagine I have an equally good grip upon what market value is Deank. Thanks for the education anyway.
