bettman and his cronies are icewholes. This is truly a process of trying to turn a sows ear into a silk purse. There have even been rumours the price will be dropped substantially. How counter-productive is that?

and that was 1 millionish or more.
plus there is the 100% VLT revenue going to them and if I am not mistaken the "entertainment tax" goes 100% to them?
so... maybe 1 million or more per year that goes to them from public coffers? not entirely sure since its a private entity they dont have to tell us crap.
Never mind the exclusivity deals that forced us to tear down the old arena and stops us from putting any public money into a competing venue for another 20 years. (ie no dome on a stadium)
