I have seen a few people on the news saying the bins aren't big enough....I find them to be big enough for our family of 4. I assume those who are complaining tend not to recycle. This spring we are going to start composting, so if anyone has any advice on composting feel free to advise away.

Yeah, if you want a free composter, sneak into the yard next door to me and take theirs.
They moved out and left it behind. But you have to be quick cause the house just sold .
The best advice I can offer, is keep the thing as far from your back door as possible...cause it STINKS!!!.
Unless you have a garden though...where you're actually going to USE the compost...it's probably not worth the effort.
The only reason I would start is if the city comes through with their "compost pickup", then I might do it to help donate to the cause.

so right now I am left with the delima. buy another recycle bin. and then have useless plastic sitting around come September... or just keep trying to stuff it all in my current two bins.

My personal issue with the cans, is that they didn't think it all the way through, and that they have forced it on a public who doesn't want it. EVERY poll done about the new system have had overwhelming majority voting against it.
Is it a better system? It can be...if the public supports it...and if it's planned correctly.
