Adler is tiny in stature....I find it amusing. Sterling Lyon is about the same height. Come to think of it, so is Don Orchard....hmmmm, I see a pattern here......hahahahahahaha. Oh and btw....thanks for reminding me that Churchill lacked stature as well.....he was referred to as the British Bulldog and Adler loves to call himself the Pitbull.....I am still amused.

As to the Black Rod, he/she whatever loves to toot their horn in the sense of saying how great they are as an alt-media source. I read the piece in question three times and yes, there are some good points to made there but to keep saying that one is a stronger or more valid voice well, makes me wonder if this is not the hand of Marty Gold in that I recall not too long ago and on numerous occasions, Marty going off on that sort of discourse.

I'm very short (and very fat) but I have large hands. And Goth Chic - this thread is about the Manitoba Newsmaker of the Year - unless you live in a cave - that be Charles Adler. We're just not discussing the colour of his "rod". Not into physical stereo-typing like the topic poster apparently is. Have a great day - I hope you find a thread that doesn't annoy you. Could be a tall order.

hahahahaah Jondo......I agree.......btw great things come in small packages? I am not into physical stereotyping (as a constant value judgement) either Jondo but by engaging in it today I am making a point that should be obvious to some. But yeah, Adler is short and no longer fat and is very successful at what he does but I just wished he would let others get some words in edgewise.

As to worrying GC about a "war of words" - do not create them when they did not exist? Otherwise, all is fine in the fiefdom of discourse, mirth, frivolity and politricks.

Folks, we're just trying to make sure we don't have a repeat of some recent unpleasant activity.

Please bear with us as we sort through this. Sometimes it is difficult to tell who is playing with whom and who gets what.

Meanwhile back in blackrodlandia.......would anyone hazard a guess, an ejjimacated guess as to what may have been offered to the Black Rod by CJOB? It was most likely not monetary in nature given the cheapness of that station ( not applicable to Adler's salary however).....
