They go after Manitoba Hydro, the NDP government (Doer/Selinger, Theresa Oswald, Dave Chomiak), Sherman Kreiner (former CEO of the Crocus Fund), City councillor Jeff Browaty and Mayor Katz, among others.

"CJOB news director Vic Grant offered The Black Rod first dibs on becoming the inaugural blogger to do his morning commentaries while he was on vacation. But we couldn't come to terms, so the deal went to Policy Frog."

Mismanaged, fudged financials, politically agendaed, secretive....completely amoral...those kinds of things.

Actually I just had a credible source tell me that The Black Rod is Marty Gold (92.9 KICK-FM).
Am I among the first to learn this or the last? I've been thinking The Black Rod was unknown persons (or wanting to remain as such)

I've thought the Black Rod was Marty Gold. Who knows? Most of the Black Rod's pieces go on for-bloody-ever and Gold is a long-winded wind bag. It makes sense...

Yup.

I listen to his show all the time. His show is like the scene of an accident: you don't want to look, and you probably shouldn't look, but you do. You always do.

He needs to announce his call in phone number more frequently though. One day I'm gonna call him and tell him to chill when he goes off on his umpteenth rant on the same topic...
