I think you have more of a problem that you can't get your joints on a contractual basis Wink.

All this crap about bidding, doesn't the winning bid get to be chosen from the lowest bid, or do they open the bids, and factor in the "brown envelop" and then choose what is best for the WRHA?
Either way eems to be acceptable to me, in that the WRHA chooses which bid is the b est for the association. That is the way it should be.
Is anyone suggesting that these brown enveloppes are going to individual members of the WRHA??

I'm certainly not suggesting that. But if they were apparently that would be okay because 1) it has always been thus; and b) there is something in it for the WRHA so that should be all we care about.

no one is suggesting that rosie.
BUT the suggestion is that SOME bids MIGHT be winning out on other bids, not because of the contents of the bid, but because of the potential contents of the brown envelope.

But that should be okay Deank. As long as the WRHA and the taxpayer wins in the end. Why worry about anything else? Stop this which hunt your on deenK.

So I saw earlier today that HSC was going to hold a news conference with an important update in regards to the video of the man who died in the waiting room...ooooooo this is juicy I thought.. heads might actually roll for lying to the public....
and apparently... no.. the announcement was.. we stick behind our people...

So Wright is a bureaucratic lyer?
Who uses the word misspoke? A lyer is a lyer and should be dealt with as lyer!
What a stupid lying person! You tell the truth all the time!
Fire the damn lyer or else move him to the legislature!

Yes heads should roll over the Sinclair fiasco but they won't as goth earlier alluded to, the union will protect the nurses and the buracrates will have huge lawsuits if they are made to blame . As I don't believe they are part of the union contract . After all they are management .

I don't have a problem per se with the front line troops. Mistakes happen. Unfortunately in that field mistakes can be deadly.

My issue is with Postle, Oswald et al for their lying and covering up. All these bozos had to do is be forthright and up front and we would all have moved on. As rosen say's: fire the liars.

In the long run though the front line is responsible not the minister , nor her shield . They can't be responsible for every move on the ward. This boils down to front line staff and I hope someone is not sleeping as well at night .

Yes they should not have lied but Politicians do it all the time so that is not new. Also remember they get there facts from the staff below them , but if it had been me I would have looked at the film first no .

You may not have a problem with the front line troops, but I sure as hell do....THEY WERE THE ONES THAT LET HIM DIE.

There are two issues here, if not three. The fcuken up emerg staff; the management and the politicians reactions. All are important.

Deal with each level separately. Were staff negligent? Deal with it. Was management incompetent? Deal with it. Was the Minister involved in a cover up? Yes, kick her ass to the curb.

Exactly.

Fire some emerg staff.

Replace the Board and management at the WRHA.

Replace the Minister (and the fricken NDP government).

...then I'll be content...Smile

None of us will hopefully have to deal with a death at work we may have or not caused , wonder if you Freeman would be so adamant to quit or be fired if your job was on the line, never mind the repercussions .

Well, first of all, the only person I said should be fired is Theresa Oswald.

That being said, if there is negligence or misconduct on the part of any employee in the ER which contributed to Sinclair's death, it shoudl be dealt with according to the policies WRHA has in place. The leadership at the WRHA should also be dealt with as it becomes apparent that they are trying to sweep it under the rug.

As a final point Pav, if you can't discuss things without taking them to a personal level, I suggest you hang up your keyboard. There are lots of things in the world that I agree and disagree with, and this is a forum to discuss that. I don't know how you could even think about discussing me or my job, as you know absolutely nothing about it.

Not meant as personal just you are very quick as most are to say fire I wonder what anyone would or say if there job and rep was on the line . so back off and have a valuim .

You know what they say about the kitchen?

The only way this will not happen again, is to have some serious consequences. If your ass is literally on the line, you'll make sure you do you job right.

If is a "systemic failure of the system" whomever designed the system should be fired.

When somebody dies, a slap on the wrist is highly inappropriate. imho.

Yes agreed , but as was said I really don,t think much will happen as the lawyers will get big cheque and inquiry will take months and the goverment will forget why they called it to begin with.

The only reason Fineblit is the Chair of the Board is to buffer the WHRA from law suits.

He's one of the problems we hjave with our health care system.

Afterall, it's not the janitors that are fcuking it up....it's the head honchos.

There you go again. If you can't make a point without going personal, then don't.

And in the world I live in, my job is on the line, everyday, all the time. If I don't deliver what is required of me, then my employer has an absolute right to get rid of me.

And for the record, I prefer beer, but I think you know where you can put your valium.

They can't sanitize the review, and then release it, but they can release the legal opinion (which they bought and paid for by the way). What a bunch of knobs!

Looks to me like they're running scared. Fineblit is only on the board to mitigate the WHRA's liabilities...nothing more.
