I ate a lot of great food, but really loved this place, http://www.hashhouseagogo.com/ It's great for breakfast food that is very unique and not the same old traditional breakfast dishes.

It went by very quickly and can't wait to go back.

Oh and my flight back to Winnipeg was delayed when we were on the tarmac because president Obama chose to leave Vegas at the same time as us. Apparently when Air force One is arriving or leaving an airport all other movements must stop. But I got to see the Presidential motorcade zoom past our plane. Than had a front row seat for the take off of Air Force One. I got photos of the presidents plane and motorcade. I thought it was pretty neat and worth the 30 minute delay.

Thanks for that link, I may have to try that restaurant.

I leave Sunday night and come back Friday morning. I am taking about a $1,000.00 US with me and hoping that'll be enough. Anyone have any good buffet recommendations? I heard Binion's has a good steakhouse that I will have to try. If anyone has any other good recommendations I would appreciate it!

Binions is good and that is my favourite place to be a slot jock but there is a great seafood buffet at the next hotel over, the four queens I think, and man, was it good.

Have you been to that steakhouse in Binion's? http://www.binions.com/dining/steak_house.php What are the prices like? Of course the online menu doesn't have prices.

I brought $1000 spending cash also, and because of poker wins I came back with $600. The buffet at the Bellagio is amazing. It's pricey but it's worth it if you like crab legs, kobe beef, prime rib and other stuff like that.

If your going to go to Binions, which is on Fremont street ( off the strip) they have $1.99 shrimp cocktails at the Golden Gate Casino. They are well with the price!

At Casino Royale on the strip, they have $1.00 margaritas and Michelob beer 24/7.

$1.00 drinks sound good to moi. I plan on buying booze for the room, can have a few and take one to go before heading out! My new John Fluevog boots just arrived so I will be cruising the strip in style and comfort! Smile

Best buffet in Vegas IMHO is at the Wynn. Worth every penny. For breakfast I'd say try Paris, some of the thinnest crepes I've ever had.

I just checked the forecast for next week in Vegas. Looking mighty warm and sunny. Calling for mid to high 70's! Look like I'll be packing shorts, capris and tee's. Smile

Hah! It'll be in the 50's here in Winnipeg on the weekend. Just go to Regent Casino. It'll be exactly the same!

Too funny dean. I was speaking in Fahrenheit since the yanks don't use Celsius. But I will convert the temps for you....

Looks like it'll be 21 C to 25 C next week in Vegas. Don't worry dean I will pack my sunscreen. Smile

heh.. ACTUALLY all the scientific yanks do you Celsius, including all of the weather forecasting and sattelite software and such. They just convert it to Fahrenheit for the morons that refuse to switch.

THAT'S NOT TRUE!!!

Take a look at any temperature screen displayed (most banks and Casinos have them), and you will see the Temperature in BOTH Fahrenheit AND Celsius!!!

It's not that we don't do Celsius...it's just that we want to be all-inclusive and use both!!! Very Happy

and I don't know where you think 70-75F is going to be WARM.

I mean, it will be warmer than Winnipeg...but nobody starts hitting the pools and going outside in shorts and tees until about 80F.

You'll see the "locals" will still be wearing light jackets or long-sleeves at 70F.

And you might want to check the night temps...can get down to about 40F (that's about 4C) because of the desert vastness.

Well anytime I look at Accuweather or watch any yank weather on the news it is always forecast in Fahrenheit!

Thanks for that response Bartron. The negativity from certain posters on here was become tiresome. I am happy it will be warm and sunny while I am there.

Well...yes...it will be warm for ANYONE from Manitoba Smile).

Was not worried about you being cold...just concerned about all the odd stares you may get wearing a bikini on the strip when everyone else is in parkas Smile).

My family use to travel to California every other year for Christmas. We would all be wearing shorts, tee's and sandals. People staring at my choice of clothing does not bother me, and I am not planning on wearing a bikini on the strip...thanks for your concern but it is not needed.

When I was there and waking the strip around 1 am it was probably only 15 outside and I was walking around in a t-shirt and felt very comfortable. But everyone else was wearing jackets and looking at me funny!

The last time it was above zero at night I wore a leather jacket and was very comfortable. I am not a heat seeker, I enjoy warm weather but I do not enjoy blistering hot temps. I could not go to Vegas in July or August as I would surely sweat to death and die.

umm...you meant "differently" right?

Cause I'm pretty sure everyone looks at you funny all the time...so it's not something you would notice Wink.
