it's called a "target price" they do this every year.

At the end of the summer, when prices typically lower, they trot out the "well, at least it didn't get to that super high price we erroneously predicted..." but it DID jump higher and did set a new plateau for the "base" price.

I will revise my investment portfolio to take advantage of those prices changes...

christ if it gets as bad as they speculate this summer my single greatest investment in my portfolio will be the gas in my tank.

Can I be charged for destruction of property over $5000 for driving to the store?

Meh. If anything the price of oil will skyrocket when it becomes known that Saudi oil reserves have been greatly overstated for years now.

It is about time too. The only way to encourage conservation and fuel efficiency is to hit people where it hurts.

In their wallets.

Hopefully my bus pass doesn't get too expensive.

I thought that saudi oil reserves overstated thing was already out in the media?


We have enough oil world wide to last another 500 years or more at our current consumption rates. So its not like its REAL shortages that cause higher oil prices, its these pretend ones, manufactured by people who are only out to make money.

and yeah.. hopefully bus passes dont start goign up
