This is quite true...they are actually REQUIRED to stop at an intersection where a light is red in their direction...whether in pursuit or not.

Not all do, nor would most people hold it against them in the line of duty...unless something happens...something like this.

an update... they arrested the kid that was driving the car that they were chasing..

Yep level 5 car thieves good thing the police caught them so we can let them out in a few weeks . God if Harper was really gonna get tough he would start with these two 75 counts of Auto theft . Only wonder how much money that cost me on my premium

Where does it say that they stopped chasing him before they collided? the article states "The source said when the suspect's car began heading east on Ellice Avenue, it was deemed safe enough to attempt to pull it over.
The driver appeared to ignore the police cars travelling behind it with lights and sirens engaged. The chase was later called off due to safety concerns"

In other news. The chiefs were wrong about the Dumas shooting. Turns out that if a burglary suspect who is fleeing police and then turn and attacks with a weapon when asked repeatedly to drop the weapon is shot, is not racial profiling.

very odd.... the police have already investigated an accident that occoured just this past Sunday and have figured out everything that happened and that charges do not need to be laid... and the vehicles were not driven by witnesses trained to keep details and the vehicles did not have GPS tracking... wow this is really odd.
