Due to the dissolution of Pontiac recently, I dug up an old e-mail a friend had sent.

I guess we can add ANY Pontiac to this collection...but some of these were pretty impressive in their day...and would be even today.

Enjoy.

Back in the days when cars had style, and even with so many makes and models, all changing every year, they made a profit.

And, not only that . But one could sit on the porch and name the cars as they drove by...unlike today...when they all look the same .

This is when a car was a car!

I used to be able to drive down the road at night at from about 1 mile away tell what type of vehicle was approaching base on the headlights alone.

now everything looks the same from headlights to body styling and sometimes until you see the emblem on the vehicle you are still not sure who is making it.

Man, what were they smoking back then? Or maybe that's when they began experimenting with chemtrails? Tune in, turn on, drop out!

Funny they did not need an air bag , people drove slower and took the time for courtesy. Stopping for the bike or pedestrian. Who says we have gotten better.

Actually, I remember going a lot faster way back when. 90mph was pretty standard for a lot of people on highways. That speed is very rare now imo.
