CJOB News Team reporting

The public inquiry into Robert Dziekanski's death says the four Mounties who confronted him used too much force when they repeatedly used a taser. Inquiry commissioner Thomas Braidwood says the officers deliberately misled investigators. And he noted the 2007 death of Dziekanski at Vancouver's airport shocked and repulsed people around the world.

Mike Sutherland of the Winnipeg Police Association told the drive on CJOB its hard to say if this particular case has influenced the use of the taser by this city's police force..
He does have concerns about going to "Use of Force" actions prior to the taser.

Meantime, Braidwood's report has prompted the B-C government to appoint a special prosecutor to reconsider criminal charges.

Interestingly....the first prosecutors said NO to charges against these cops, yet it is clear to all that they lied from the getgo.

Heh...perhaps the prosectors should be prosecuted.

But they had to go by what was written in the report! 'We were standing around talking civilly about the proper use of a fork when DZ came out of nowhere and tazed himself for a prolonged period a total of five times. He fought us off while we tried to perform CPR. etc. etc.'
