Taser cartridge goes missing
Police ask for return of Taser cartridge

City police are hoping to retrieve a Taser cartridge that was lost late Friday night or early Saturday.
It might amount to a stunning discovery if a lost piece of Winnipeg police equipment isn’t handled with care and returned to cops when found.
City police are hoping to retrieve a Taser cartridge that was lost late Friday night or early Saturday when it was accidentally dislodged from an officer’s stun gun while he worked on the streets of north Winnipeg.
And cops are asking anyone who might come across the device — and its pouch, which also became separated from the weapon — to contact them about it immediately.
“The Taser itself was not lost — just the cartridge,” spokesman Const. Jason Michalyshen said of the small gadget connected to wires and two probes.
Michalyshen said the probes could be propelled and injure whoever has the cartridge, or others, if it’s carried improperly.
