Are they open yet?

I have had their burgers several times in the US and in Calgary and I think they are great.

Apparently they are open. I will hopefully get there one day...

Don't believe they are open yet ( I drive by there daily)

The Papa John's pizza has opened in the same strip mall. I'll check for 5 guys on the way home tonite.

I go by there almost every day, and 5 Guys definitely not open. It's the unit with the least amount of action--doesn't look anywhere near ready. Other than Papa John's, there's also another all-you-can-eat sushi place opening in the same strip mall. I think only Papa John's and Miller's Meats are actually open, though.

fwiw, I remember reading somewhere that it would open early 2012, which means it probably won't open till summer. It finally showed up on their location locator, though, so that's a good sign.

This thread also reminds me that I need to go on a diet.

Rykos, if you're out on Regent, try The Burger Factory at Regent/Nairn & Lagimodiere.

They are next to BJ Toys (kind of hidden in the corner)

The Factory Special is an excellent choice (HUGE burger)...comes with fries & drink for about $9

Their other food is great, and it's all run by a small Greek family.

I went to the other Burger Factory that was on Portage (it's something else now) and didn't like it, but this one is excellent.

Thanks for the recommendation! I only go that way a couple of times a year (if that), but I'll try to remember it for next time!

My only complaint about The Burger Factory is that the Buns are too big for the burger. I got take out from there, and brought it home, and reassembled the burger on a Costco hamburger bun. Much better.

I find that the buns they use also disintegrate, especially when they toast them. Other than that, good tasty burger (pre-formed) patty bacon, cheese, and all the toppings one could ask for.

How many times did you test them?

and which Factory Dean?

I know the one that was on Portage really sucked...

I've never been disappointed in the one on Nairn/Regent

A cooked blob of ground up vegetables and other plant based fillers does not a burger make.

Probably from a vegetarian...and what do THEY know about a good burger?

To me, it's quite hypocritical that they would call it a "burger" joint anyway...

and yes, i know...we've had the whole thread about that already.

I've had some pretty tasty vegetarian burgers, its amazing what they can do without using any animal products!

Never hear of Boon either. If vegetarian that would explain it. There ought to be a law against calling anything but a hamburger a burger...

The reviews came from meat eaters NOT vegetarians. Open your mind and try something healthy. LOL
