I heard back from Provence. They will be open for Mother's Day (they're usually open Sunday). No buffet, just the regular menu plus some special.

My mother doesn't actually like Stella's. I like them for a casual Sunday breakfast/brunch, but for whatever reason, she has never been impressed with them.

I'll cancel the reservation today at 12:00 noon. Be on the phone and try to get it.

I called shortly after noon (like 12:05) and they still said they were full. I mentioned that someone was going to cancel and I was trying to take that reservation, but the woman wouldn't budge. She did end up taking my name and number in case they found the cancellation, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll try calling again tomorrow just in case.

Try The Inn at the Forks.
We took my Mother-in-law there two years ago...the food was decent...and it didn't seem too busy.

Also try Vicount Gort hotel. They have a good brunch during the week, I'm sure there's something on for Mother's Day too.

Ended up at Elements. Meh. . . Probably won't go back, but my mother might go again because they gave her a 25% off coupon for her next meal there.

not sure what the hours are. Never thought to ask. But yeah its good for sure. 5oz of scrambled eggs, two little mini sausages and a good helping of fried potatoes.

you can add on ( or just have on their own )
3 slices of bacon 99 cents
pancakes ( 2 or 3?? ) 99 cents
french toast 1 slice 99 cents

never tried the pancakes but everything else tastes good.

Sunday morning the store opens at 11... but the restaurant opens at 1030

yeah took the family there this Sunday on the way out of the city.

6 people ( 3 of them teenage boys ) . all completely stuffed for under $15.

That is a bit better at $.99 per slice that is nuts. I had the large meatballs it was good.Only went once.
