The Conservatives did a pretty good job of advertising against the coalition. Why anyone would care if we had a coalition trying to run the country is beyond my comprehension!
The Conservatives got 36% of the vote, and the rest of the 64% would be running the country, so what is the problem!
Every one should get a crack at having their say, especially the NDP!
The NDP have been so patient, with about 20% of the vote, and not having any say since the 1960's when they teamed up with Pearson and the Liberals.
I think that the Conservatives are a coalition of 3 groups of conservatives, aren't they?
If we did not have Harper running a Liberal budget, we would be going back to the polls.
My daughter wa pretty mad at the hardhearted Conservatives, elimimating the arts funding and cuting out the great Liberal child care funding.
Mean old Harper, taking down needed child care spots. What was the thinking? Mean spirited Harper!
No money for the poor, the unemployed, the aboriginals, for those low income earners.
All would spend whatever they were given, getting the money back into the economy!

So why don't they ALL chip in with 100%????
It's a democracy. Who says there has to be a government split in two?

Just out of curiosity, where is it stated that Canada is a democracy? Please provide me a link to Canada's constitution or our charter of rights and freedoms. I thought we were an Oligarchy.
