G8/G20 2010

Have any of the protesters spoken out against the black-bloc tactics yet? I read an article in the Globe where one reporter could not find anyone protesting that, while not committing violence themselves, would not speak against those that do - because they benefit from the attention the violence creates.

Dean, you are awesome. I'd love to see you take some of these guys on in a debate.

No one, and I mean NO ONE can tell me what exactly was being protested, or what they want accomplished to any degree of specificity. Not even the protesting websites. They do a sh1t job of communicating their points. It's just against big money and government, blah blah blah.

As soon as they want to present a viable alternative to big money and government, I'm all ears. Until then, they can just taunt the police at rallies and let the consequences fuel their passions.

heh. I would love to get a chance to talk to some of them one on one on live TV where they cant manipulate people with chants and drum beats and must face cold hard facts and be responsible for responding to them



I kind of liken it to people that hate Sam Katz. right now.
Why do you hate him,
"because he is in charge"!!

well.. realizing that businesses make money and jobs happen... whats so wrong with that?

Well, actually while Mr Katz has been in office more community centres have gone up or been remodeled, more people are investing in down town, more apartments and condos and housing have been built then at any time in the last 20 years..
"But our roads are crumbling while he builds new ones"!!!

Well actually... while Mr Katz has been in office, more road work has been completed, planned or started that at any other time in the last 30 years.
"He has frozen our taxes"!!

Well you are free to pay more money to the city if you really want to.
"but he is in bed with big business"!!!


I end up saying usually if you have something you would like to discuss further now that you know some of the real facts. I would love to!


Its funny how the real things that Sam has done like the ball park issues, and double talking on photo radar never come up.

There is an inherent contradiction to the radical left. And this contradiction blows all their credibility apart.


Most radical left, in fact most people when asked about the radical left, would say that one of the inherent values that they stand for is equality. Each person is equal and that a CEO and a bolt tightener should be
treated equally.


However, have you ever seen some of the radical left protests?


I remember one protest about the Olympics. Had something to do with a train or something going across Canada. A lady with her kids wanted to see the train. Because of a protest she couldn’t get near it. The response of the protesters was “ well, she should know that we would be protesting it and see it somewhere else.”


How many times have you seen protests where someone controversial was going to speak and they got shut down because of the protests and security concerns.


So, equality yes – but only equality so far as it agrees with their world view. Censor everything else.


So while they protest and campaign about government making decisions for us, they really just want to substitute radical left for government.They don’t want us making our own decisions if it is contrary to their world view.

A transit worker has already turned himself in.

"Technically", those are terrorists, causing fear and destruction during an International event.

All those photos could/should be run through international databases and each of them should be prosecuted as terrorists and if they are Canadian (cause there's no proof that they are) with treason.

If they REALLY want to flush these guys out...they should offer an "amnesty" program, stating that these are known terrorists, and will be listed on all international terrorist lists, and wanted "dead or alive", but if they turn themselves in by (insert reasonable date here), they will only face domestic charges of vandalism and/or attempted robbery (or bodily harm if any was caused).

They'd probably have all 10 inside a week. (well, except maybe for #8...cause he doesn't look too smart)

I think the quality of the pics is good enough for some of them that they wont anytime soon be traveling to the USA without the face recognition software going off.

yes and no.

The RCMP does, as does CSIS.

It isn't located in every station, there's one location that houses the database, and only certain people have access to it within each department.

Local services have access to it IF they feel the person they are looking for is deemed a threat to the public.

I am more thinking that if they try to cross the border driving or via air.

So there is an agreement , but not a bunding agreement, because nothing ever gets accomplished at any of these photo ops, just wasting taxpayer money, and our President harper, huffing and puffing about look at how strong Canada has been because of Chretian's Liberals, with our strong Finance Minister Paul Martin who followed Chretian's wishes magnificently and was rewarded by being turfed as P.M.
