Hughie thinks it will do little to boost tourism here.
Among other things, they are planning concerts. Who do you want to see at The Fork? Should the talent be home-grown?
I've enjoyed concerts at the Fork when I lived downtown, but I'm not sure I would drive and park downtown, then walk to the Fork.

I think he's referring to the fact that since there is only 2 rivers meeting there, it is just one fork.

An obvious spelling mistake from a Doer NDPer, no doubt.

Well the river doesn't split or "fork" so we should call it the T or the 90o.

It's still a "fork-in-the-road" as far as navigability goes... Very rare that a river would split up into separate branches.

I don't know of any rivers that "fork" actually...and I guess that's why they call it a fork-in-the-road. So like I said why not T? scratch

Its more of a Y than a T in most cases. And then you'd have people asking why Y? and answering because I said so.

It would sound so much better than the Forks though..."I'll meet you at the Y and we can have a bite to eat". Shocked

Saison Voyageur

Makes it sound like Festival is just going to be bigger that year. Why not a different theme?
