I guess we'll soon see. (Iggy won't be there very long.)

But my read is he's not going too far in the Party. The name Trudeau is hated by many, many Quebecers you must remember.

The only people who hate Trudeau are the ones who feared him. The vast majority of people look at the Trudeau as a man who brought prestige and hope to Canada.

Trudeau II has proven himself politically, and is a hell of a speaker. Over the next few years he will grow in stature and take over the party and will win government.

He was a traitor to many Quebecers and is still looked at with a great deal of disdain by too many for him to be anything but a back-bencher, at best.

Even mentioning Trudeau's name will get you tarred and feathered in some Alberta towns.

And yet Trudeau II is the most popular speaker of all MP's across the country (In Québec as well as Manitoba). What does that tell you about his popularity?

Alberta is a changin', remember they've already elected an NDP MP in Edmonton. As the province urbanizes and become educated it will Liberalize. (The inevitable tolerance that grows in civilized society)

Not at all, it's a facteur of population density. When you live closer together with more people, you naturally become more tolerant of them, or you leave the city. Just because you are exposed to a greater deal of different people in closer proximity.

Go to big dense cities and see how people vote.

So, you're saying you vote Liberal because you're from a dense city. Thats kind of obvious.

Or were you referring to population density??

The other way to look at the problematic is that those who are liberal and more tolerant of others tend to move to large cities in droves, while those who are less tolerant and more fearful of others move to smaller locales and don't want uncle sam having a record of all their guns.

I never moved, I lived here all my days, save for when I was in the army. They taught me how to use the guns.

Is that a tolerant, Liberal icon you posted?

I'm only tolerant of those who work hard and try their best to become successful.

You're pulling this stuff right out of your ass.

He may be popular is some small Liberal circles, but only in your mind is he the most popular across the country.

I had to call you on this crap, but it isn't worthy of further comment actually.

Who is a bigger celebrity than he? Other than Harper's wife, who has done well in the International press.

So, Liberals pick their leaders based on popularity and celebrity. Well, that may explain why the party is failing so badly. Perhaps leadership should fit into the equation rather than arrogance.

I don't believe that. My MP, Judy Whatshernamewithallthelettersofthealphabet is most popular. I just got a flier from her and it shows her having her picture taken with everyone in the riding, except me, which is why I don't vote for her.

Teachers are rather well educated, and educated people demographically do not vote Tory.

Be impressed then. Prince Charles is the Colonel in Chief of several Canadian Regiments including the one I served in. He visited the Regiment, amongst others, in the lates 70's and before the parade, individuals were selected to have dinner with him. A the time, I was a MCpl and President of the Junior NCO's Mess, and I attended the dinner.

Would you be impressed if I told you I was at his wedding to Princess Diana as well??
