That link was posted as an example of the ten-percenters that were sent out, since you didn't seem to be clear on what we were discussing. My earlier link is from the Hill Times in 2008 and shows that this practice was indeed started by the Conservatives.

Apparently this is something the Liberals have also picked up on. Great. Another lovely new trend in Canadian politics. One more think to thank Harper and the Cons for.

No, I wasn't aware that the Liberals were using ten percenters to attack the Cons.

Government House leader Peter Van Loan (York-Simcoe, Ont.) told the Canadian Press last week that there is no abuse and all parties use the perk.

Liberal Whip Karen Redman (Kitchener Centre, Ont.) said that while all parties participate in Ten Percenters and regroupings, the Conservatives are using it for partisan purposes.

So just to be clear you are not going to Vote conservative simply because they are trying to communicate with you? Is that like NOT drinking beer because they have beer ads?
