uneducated usually vote NDP and most teachers I know aren't that smart . Educated, intelligent people vote Conservative. Bleeding hearts vote liberal. Does that clear it up?

My niece is a teacher. I can assure you she is both educated and intelligent.

There are exceptions to the rule GOM. She's one.

Two groups predominantly vote Tory, the wealthy who vote in their own interest to lower taxes (not saying that's a negative in any way) and the uneducated who tend to vote "emotionally".

The educated folks tend to be very rational, and sadly often quite ideological. Dumb people are the ones who cannot open their minds to more than one solution to a problem. Personally I have a friend who's a Tory MP here in Ottawa and he is a very honest straightforward bangup guy. I would vote for him based on his character and his honesty. However, I also have met the premier of Manitoba, and I tell you what, this guy rides his bike to work most every day (pretty sure he walks in winter) because he actually practices what he preaches, not many politicians are that genuine. That said, I backed Raymond Simard over Shelly Glover in the last election because let's face it, Glover is a bit of a disgrace to the community, and I was impressed by how clean he insisted on keeping the race, he would never stoop to personal attacks, which is rather admirable today.

I'm well educated and far from poor, although I am a bit of an idiot at times... DemocraticConservaLiberal?

I am far from wealthy, yet I vote conservative. So much for that theory.

I met Dion before, and he was quite a nice guy. He's a great thinker and had some guts, but he just didn't have the balls (charisma) to get it done. Seriously, if we would have pumped money into research and green development (not for the environmentalism, but just for the economic growth potential of those industries) we'd be better off then spending all that money on..umm big blue signs?

Dion had great ideas, just laked the ability to sell them.

Weird. My brother lives in Ottawa, and he tells me everyone is talking about Ericson and Canada's loss of its telecom giant.
I guess Trudeau Jr. is definately something to be feared if he is anything like his father.

I can see peeps getting excited by Trudeau. I'd suggest we don't stick our collective heads up our a$$es in this regard. He WILL be a major factor in Canadian politics soon enough...

When it comes to all things Liberal, I prefer to keep my head up my ass. God only knows that they need to do something, and if another leader is what they figure, then go for it. Until then, I'm just fine with Iggie making an ass of himself and losing even more credibility.

A lot of people talk about Bell and the CRTC here too. The internet is twice the cost for half the speed of Manitoba on average. The CRTC monopolies are really brutal out east.

I don't share your view.

I would place him a distant third to Dion and Iggy, but in the same class as them.

He ran in Papineau thinking he would be a shoo-in, running in Pettigrew's old riding, but he just sqeeked in by just over 1,000 votes.

Since being elected, he's been invisible.

Just biding his time I suspect...

He is likely being kept in tight check so as to not usurp Iggy. But he was at an event recently, outside his riding, that received high profile coverage.

I guess we'll soon see. (Iggy won't be there very long.)

But my read is he's not going too far in the Party. The name Trudeau is hated by many, many Quebecers you must remember.
