Great Story, but now some Winnipegers are saying Mayor Sam should give him a house, give him a house? Where would the City of Wpg find a house to give him??
Oh yes, there is a 6500 sq ft house on Wellington Crescent, recently listed for $2,000,000. I think that would be appropriate! lol

And why give him a house? So that the next teenager dies becuase he is not there? Yeah that makes sense.

Ha ha ha...who said we should give him a house? Hell, let's give him a case of wiskey.

Would it not make sense for the kids parents to give him a house?

There is no taking away from the selfless act of this guy, but how does that suddenly entitle him to a house and job at public expense? This is the commie bastard kind of thinking that pervades our city and province.

Man after reading the storey I am left wondering that perhaps the little jackass should have been left in the water.

Thinning out the herd so to speak.

I think a case of whiskey might be appropriate, a bus pass forever might be appreciated. Thinning of the herd might be appropriate, but probably just a youthful mistake.
That guy risked his life to save the kid. Can you imagine going into the cold , fast running river, and actually surviving and saving the teenager! WOW! incredible!

was he drunk when he rescued the guy? I kinda doubt that. Its a b1tch to swim drunk, never mind to resecue a guy like he did.

would he appreciate a case of whiskey? Almost for certain.

In rescue diving training we were pitted against a 225 pound guy who did his damndest to hold us underwater as we attempted to get behind him to pin his arms back....I would most certainly recommend punching someone in the head if they were resisting rescue but would also enjoy it too if it were some stroppy teen I was rescuing? lol!

With the unruly teens, do you have to wait until he's in the water, or can you punch him in the head before you throw him in?

Coming from a man with several teenage kids I will defer to your good judgment.

I would recommend punching them in the head first.....then if one still wishes to attempt rescue the victim should be pacified sufficiently..... lol!

When I took lifesaving , sometime in the early last century , around 1956, the punch to get control was one of the recommended weighs to do a rescue! Today with the Human Rights Commission, sending an e-mail is recommended to prevent lawsuits! lol
