so I made sure to count the number of red lights I hit the entire time in The states on a little trip.

7. TOTAL in THREE DAYS

how many I hit in my first 20 minutes in the city?

13

YES THIRTEEN!!

That's because the planners down there seem to understand how to use something other than controlled intersections to direct traffic flow. It's like our planners here all missed the same classes about access roads.

Big deal, what about free health care? Can't compare apples to oranges. Smile

None of our lights have that new fangled contraption , I think it is called a computer control!
The important thing was in those 7 stops , hopefully they were selling cigarellos!! lol

Did you have your kids helping add up to 7?

What free health care?
Do medical personnel in Canada work for free?
Do we get free drugs from the drug companies?
We just pay for our health care through our taxes.
BTW: what does health care have to do with street lights?
(besides raising my blood pressure when I run into a string of uncoordinated street lights.) Sad

Nothing, but it was inevitable as soon as you make any comparison between Canada and the USA.BTW, about your high blood pressure, at least here, you can stop and have it checked easily......at WalMart or Shoppers Drug Mart.  Line ups are usually small.

heh... sorry.. I never even thought to grab some..hmm.. come to think of it, I dont actually remember seeing any.

LOL funny funny story.

Its all based on the "Suasage on a stick"

basically a corn dog, but a breakfast sausage instead of a wiener and pancake batter instead of cornbreading. Freaking awesome.. problem is.. cant find them anywhere anymore.

So the story on day 1, we saw some of the sausage pancake bites... not on a stick but still the same thing.. but about 1/3 the size. AND they had the blueberry pancake ones so SWEET we are going to get some for sure.. only.. its day1.. and we have two sleeps ahead of us.. so we will buy them on the way home.

Wake up 3rd day in GRAND FORKS, NORTH DAKOTA. Anything we want to do before heading home... oh right... head to SUPER TARGET and buy some of those sausage thingys.

Get in to Super Target... gee thats weird I swear the frozen section was right there... meh whatever... been in so many stores I must be mixed up. Get to the back where the frozen section is... cant find the blueberry sausage bites... damn...and it slowly dawns on me..

This is because it was WALMART in THIEF RIVER FALLS, MINNESOTA

Super Walmart is going up on McPhillips soon.

Dont think the cheese will be coming though. Too costly to retool for French Language requirements?

I'll be at home by then! Either in the back yard, if no mosquitoes, or hiding in the house napping or sending messages.
Don't bring your shovel the earth has been spread! You on the way home?
I am also at work by 730, 4/5 days, at door 2, 5 stairs up, ready to buy breakfast Mondays to Thursdays, and then free on the weekends!
Boy my schedule is boring!

Winnipeg has WAY too many traffic lights and four-way stop sign intersections. The vast majority of the city is stop-go-stop-go; it's quite frustrating. This all stems from poor planning and ultimately "cheaping out" on proper free-flow thoroughfare development. It would be nice to see this change, but I won't hold my breath on it.
