A woman was charged with making 300 calls to 911 over a period of a year.
The thought that struck me was why they let this go on for as long as they did and why they didn't do something at, say 100 calls, or 200 calls.
Weird.
A 62-year-old North End woman has been charged with public mischief after it is alleged a person called 911 over 300 times in a one-year period.
The calls were placed between Jan. 1, 2008 and Dec. 31, 2008. In the vast majority of the cases, the calls were unfounded, police said.
Police said a woman called 911 on Sunday to report a break and enter. When officers responded, they found there was no substance to the complaint.
The suspect was charged with public mischief and taken to the Remand Centre.
