Seems like all the hosts are leaving their shows on the air, either changing their jobs completely, or moving to other radio stations...
The time slots keep changing, the music is verrry repeatative, and the only things working well were the hosts, and now they're leaving.
Whazzup??? Arrggghh

Can ye be more specific? I really only listen to two Winnipeg stations (not including the Great Canadian Talk Show).

I don't think that there are any disc jockeys left in Winnipeg. All the DJ's are recorded from other citys on tape, to keep the costs down.

Yes this is the way it is going all over in radio , as the revenue drops and people leave it in droves .

The Winnipeg radio scene hasn't been the same since 92 changed from alternative/rock and BJ left Power.... tisk tisk.

remember when 92 played the new rock and 97 played the classic rock? Now its the other way around, except 92 still plays the same songs! LOL

I usually listen only to 'OB and the CBC. However, whenever I'm over-ruled (always) in the car, and have to listen to all the others, I really cannot tell them apart...even those screaming high-pitched DJ voices sound the same to me.

I listen to Blue Collar comedy station when driving around during the day. I switch between 92 and 103 on the drive in. And I listen to Marty Gold on the drive home until he annoys me. Then it is back to the comedy stations.

Embarassed ...cbc fm...if that makes a difference...it's the only station that plays classical music.

It must be my mid twenty's nostalgia trip that's caused me to listen to Bob more than anything else for the last 6 months..... They have really improved their play list over the last little while.

I listen to more web radio....too bad my vehicle can't tap into those signals yet.

The local stations that my demo is supposed to be listening too suck....too many commercials and crappy, repetitive play lists. Plus none of the good music from when I was growing up....oh crap, I'm getting old!!! tongue

David Lewis left Power 97.
Brian Cook left 92 CITI.
Jay Richardson left Power 97 for the Curve.
Cosmo is on 24 hours on 92 CITI FM... (So that's one radio station deleted from my bookmarks...).
Just as you get comfortable with a show, someone changes the time slot or the host...
So who's complaining about CBC Radio???
AtT least they have calm relaxing music most the time. Sleep

I listen to QX104 (the country station) and there has been one addition lately and that is Chrissy Troy is now doing Retro Country (which I don't listen to). However for those who have listened to Winnipeg Radio for a long time, please say a prayer for Ron Able as he battles pancreatic cancer and pneumonia. He has been part of the "Waking Crew" with Caroline Hunter and Boyd Kozak for a number of years and he is missed in the morning by a lot of us country folk. I can't remember what other stations he has been on in the past but I know it has been a few.

most of the DJs voices sound so crappy you have to turn the treble or whatever it is way down... and then the songs sound crappy.
