How would getting rid of the Jets fix the potholes? Who has been smoking too much marihuana? The Jets being here will certainly fix the potholes on the roads leading to the MTS centre! lol

Wait this is Winnipeg where we have The Jets, The HRMuseum, and world class potholes, as they have similar potholes in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

Seems likely with 16 games remaining the Jets will have what? 40-42 wins this season? The challenge lies in will 40-42 wins get them in the play-offs?

I guess it depends on how well the other teams with games in hand play. We play Florida and Washington once more before the end of the season.

Clitsom looked pretty good last night too...so far so good.

The beauty in games-in-hand is the other team actually has to win them!

Remember two weeks ago when seemingly every team the Jets were challenging had 4-5 games-in-hand and the Jets were on the outside looking in? Now look.

Fer instance, Taranna has two games in hand. They play them tonight and tomorrow. Boston and Pittsburgh. Wanna place a bet that after Wednesday's game the Leafs lose both games?

I don't want to bet on the Leafs in any way, shape or form...

That team is radioactive! (Grapes did a good job of deflecting scrutiny away from the players with his rant on the weekend eh?)

Is the bet that they loose after playing Boston and Pittsburgh? Or that they loose playing those two games?

For want it's worth, the Panthers have a more difficult (says me) schedule remaining compared to the Jets;

Panthers play: Philly, Pittsburgh, Carolina, Toronto, Boston, Buffalo, Philly, Carolina, Edmonton, Long Island, Montreal, Minnesota, Columbus, Detroit, Winnipeg, Washington, Carolina.

Jets play: Vancouver, Calgary, Dallas, Washington, Carolina, Pittsburgh, Washington, Nashville, Ottawa, NYR, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Florida, Long Island, Tampa Bay.

Washington stepped up their game, and the Sabres are making a run for it. The last two losses might cost the Jets the playoffs. The Capitals are already selling playoff tickets.

And the Jets are really like an expansion team even if they do seem to be making a boatload of cash.
I don't mean this in a dis-respectville way-new city, new management, new improved fans, etc.

The result inched the Jets, now 33-29-8 and still in 10th, closer to
that coveted eighth spot in the conference after Buffalo lost 5-4 in a
shootout to Colorado.


The Jets have 74 points, one back of the ninth-place Sabres, four
behind eighth-place Washington and five back of Southeast
Division-leading Florida.


And just to make things even juicier, the Capitals are here on Friday for a critical division matchup.

Winnipeg improved to 34-29-8 and moved past the idle Buffalo Sabres and
into ninth place in the Eastern Conference. The Capitals fell to
36-28-6. The Jets and Caps, who both have 11 games remaining, will again
play next week in the U.S. capital.
