Time to dump the present party. (imho anyway)

The Liberals are not a government in waiting.

The Green Party....well, they're a party in waiting, at best.

The choice is clear to me.

The Conservatives deserve a shot at it.

But...take a look and make up your own mind. Hopefully, you'll agree with me.

It looks like the Liberals have some good ideas, and a trustworthy leader. Too bad they don't have more candidates to realize these ideas.

Everything from them is sooooo vague though....just platitudes imo.

example:

Support recreation and community centres

Fix Lake Winnipeg and properly address flooding as part of a province-wide water management strategy

I mean...really??? Amazing revelations eh?

Me too (voting PC). I sense the Liberal's under Gerard are going to take some left votes - and even some conservative votes. I'm still waiting for the PC party to stop playing center-field and start pitching some heat. This is not their election to lose - which they seem to think at HQ.

dont need to be a tree huger to vote green. You just need to care about creating local jobs, and wanting to have a sustainable future for your children, grand children, great grandchildren and beyond.

I think that politics in this province have hit an all time low. The promises being made are ridiculous. Everyone is promising to spend money that we don't have.

While, we as individuals, have been told about the massive personal debt being carried in this country, government doesn't see the need to follow suit and work on reducing debt. Hell, they aren't even working on reducing the operating deficit, let alone reduce debt.

Crime, what the hell is a database of gnagsters going to do to reduce crime? More cops, why not get the ones we have working instead worrying about what their union thinks. Healthcare, cut the bloated RHA's and put more money into front line service.

I have 4 adult children and against the odds, all 4 graduated from high school. One has graduated from University and is teaching on a part-time basis, but apparently we need more teachers. Another has a business diploma and is actively looking for a career. The other 2 are still in college and university, but all have talked about moving elsewhere for better opportunities, because they isn't much here.

Time for the politicians to think about the big picture, not the next election.

This summary of issues is exactly what I thought the PC's were going to be trumpeting from the rooftops - Gary Doer style. This is what they WANT to say and do however they're busy playing politics instead - including having a spending orgy competition with the NDP. If the NDP win again then The Manitoba Party will be born.

The driving principle behind green party initiatives is thinking about the next 5 generations of people.

Dean. I figure they are a 'party in waiting' because they don't have a platform out yet and the election is in a couple of weeks.

Did somebody forget there was going to be an election or what?
