Bangkok Dangerous 2/5

Nicholas Cage plays a freelance assassin who never directly meets his clients, never gets close to anyone and who must know when to leave. A chance meeting with a guy hired to be his courier changed all that, of course. And when the two of them fall for a couple of women, they become increasingly vulnerable as they carry out their duties.

I could not believe the amount of make-up that Nicholas Cage had on. If you watch this film, check out how much he unintentionally looks like a drag queen.

The story is extremely formulaic and downright boring.

May signals the start of the blockbuster season. First Trek, then fare like Angels & Demons, Terminator Salvation, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Harry Pothead and the Half-Blood Prince, etc.

After Leaving Las Vegas Nicholas Cage has really done little. Prolific to be sure. But nothing to touch that little gem IMO.

He's had almost 30 films since then, but even the relatively popular ones have been less-than-artistic statements, like the National Treasure films. I did like Matchstick Men, though.

1/5 Yes Man.

Such utter crap. I'm ashamed that I actually watched the whole thing.

4/5 Terminator: Salvation.

Incredible action scenes, not a bad story. Arnie shows up in this one, using old footage, apparently, but you really can't tell. If you thought the robots in Transformers looked cool, watch out for the ginormous killing machines in this one.

Sure, whenever you watch a sci-fi film, there's bound to be things that
don't make sense or seem far fetched. This film is not exempt. Can't
beat the first two, though. Better than the last one.

Apparently, 1% of filmgoers went to see Wolverine in the last couple of days while 85% went to this film. I heard this is apparently the first of a new trilogy. They'll keep making them so long as they can make big money.
