Hilary Swank looks like a man...at least Nicole looks like a woman.

I like freckles.

But at least with Hilary Swank she hasn't re-arranged her face to look like MJ.  Take a look at a picture of Nicole Kidman from Days of Thunder and then a picture of her now and you will see a major difference (not improvement IMO).

Kidman looks horrible. If she has taken a page out of MJ's Book of Life she is in deep doo doo.

This film is worthy of a 1/5 rating, but I'm in a generous mood, hence the two stars.

If you were trying to write a spy thriller from scratch, you likely wouldn't come up with a story like this one. It isn't particularly succinct or even compelling. This is quite surprising given that Paul Haggis, a well-known Canadian writer in Hollywood, had a hand in writing the screenplay. Haggis' film Crash was a big winner at the Oscars and the box office, a few years ago.

Bond fights like nobody's business and in that capacity, Daniel Craig is very watchable. Too bad he suffers from what appears to be a permanent bad hair day throughout the film. There are no cool gadgets, but lots of action with doesn't really help make this a film worthy of the Bond franchise. In fact, I'd say this is the worst of the Bond films. There a small homage to the Bond film Goldfinger, but it doesn't involve oil...

If you really must see this film., I'd suggest renting it instead of shelling out $10 or wait for it to appear in the cheap theatres.

Interesting. The other feedback I've heard has been quite good. I don't usually pay to much attention to general consensus as every film ever "hyped" never seems to live up to its billing.

a couple of friends of mine rated it about the same.

Interesting show on Bravo last night about Ian Fleming, Bond really burned him out ending up they say killing him.

A few weeks ago I took my daughter to see Madagascar2, I found it to be just as good as the original even though alot of critics panned it!

Haven.t been to the theater for don't know how long, will have to try to change that over the holidays.

Two looney gym employees find a cd-rom containing the memoirs of a former CIA employee. They contact him and suggest a reward...

This is one of those films in which the main characters seem unrelated but later on their lives intersect. George Clooney shows up as does Tilda Swinton and Frances McDormand. Brad Pitt is at his wackiest. Overall, this isn't as funny as the previews suggested.

Apparently, it's loosely based on the memoirs of former Carter CIA head, Stansfield Turner, Burn Before Reading.

yea that movie wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

Ya know, most movies don't live up to their billing. It seems I'm always disappointed when a movie is uber-hyped.

Yep. Here's one that flew below most people's radars that I really liked - In Bruges. It's now out on DVD and Blu-Ray.

The last movie that I really enjoyed was Transformers. Which surpised me cause I hated the show and stuff when I was younger.

How could you hate transformers when you were younger?

Wait... which version of transformers did you watch.. One of those crappy spin off ones where they end up being lions or tigers or some sort of wacked thing way back in history but in the future and they are actually on Cybertron?

I don't care if you have kids Deank. You know FAR TOO MUCH about this subject.
