yeah.. but they are setting up a blockade... to protest thier own electoral process. I dont understand.. are they protesting themselves as being too corrupt?

And the fact that Quebec won't help them to rectify it , which is strange I aggree but . Quebec has a history of do it and talk later when it comes to natives rights on there land , well then so doe's Manitoba and the rest of Canada .

There demands are silly sometimes but we would not tell the Jews, Poles, whatever race or religion that and go ahead and do it anyway so why do we do it to them and restrict their life with the Indian Act. They desearve a cut of the royalties from their land just like any farmer gets .

For the record... we should send a volunteer election observer or two there. We send them to Ukrain, uganda, bosnia, south Africa.. sh1t.. everywhere.. why not send them to places within our own country. They pay my travel there I will come observe for them.

Yes that is what this country should do but never seems to , some forget that the Natives have never been properly brought into the 21 century and find us foreign still as there are huge culture differences

Alright, sure, okay Canada bad. But come on. If someone does not do it for them why don't they do it for themselves?

This notion that all blame lies on Canada and the white man grows very very tiring. Let's say for the sake of argument that Canada is pure evil, and will never again spend one dollar on INAC or send money to any Aboriginal and never honour a single treaty. Then what? The natives stamp their feet? Blockade a road? They had best make efforts to help themselves more and more. And soon. Enough is enough already.

It is not that we are evil but for years we excluded them from main stream , and left them with out the means to succeed on their own.
Yes it is our own story of apartheid just not as brutal , but just as effective .
