whoooaaa... memory flash back


We were partying at a lake. We were in the overflow part of the campground but the ACDC and Metallica were still flowing out of the cassette deck quite loud and flowing down to the regular portion of the campground

The DNR comes along and stays with us for a while enjoying the tunes and such. They leave and come back about 10 minutes later telling us we need to turn it down. Considering we are in a "country" area we ask the guy, if we just switched to country music would that be okay. DNR says, sure! And there were no more problems with people complaining that night.

Sometimes it aint how loud you are listening to something that pisses people off, sometimes its what you are listening to.

Another campground flashback....dude down the road kept playing Bat out of Hell over and over again.
There was a revolt of sorts....quite amusing in retrospect.

While I was camping out at Alice Lake which is near the town of Squamish BC in August of 2007 and while they were "blasting the rocks in the mountains" to expand HWY 99 (Sea to Sky Hwy in BC) which usually the blasts were just little series of bang, bang etc and always while they closed the hwy from 3:00 am to 6:00 am...Well that one night at just after 3:00 am a very, very and I mean very loud bang was let go and to this day I will never forget how loud it was and I jump nearly out of my "skin" and tent and since then I have had a new interpretation of what a rrrealllyyy loud bang truly is...and what a truly bad neighbor could be and that was of course until my wife and I bought and moved in this locale today and ran into the nut neighbor we have right now...
