Less sex IMO is 2-3 times per week...when you have older kids you tend to have less time, but Sputnik I am sure you are already an expert on children. LMAO

On a strange tangent, I used to work for a manufacturing company. We got sued by a user of our machinery, because he didn't turn the machine off before cleaning and crotched himself with a steel bar attached to the machine.

Anyhew.... wife get on the stand and says it ruined their sex life. Says they went from having sex 7-8 times a week to 4-5 and now their marriage is on the rocks! Laughing

However, the poll is flawed - as the kids grow the things that are listed come back. Ours are old enough to stay on their own so free time or sleeping in isn't an issue.

The only issue we have is sleeping in and free time. Our kids are 4 and still get up fairly early but they are good sleepers and go to bed when told and sleep through the night. Right now we have them in skating lessons, swimming and soon soccer. Life sure is busier now then before we had the twins.

Heh......and once they get older and start staying up longer then you have to wait later to have sex - or find a really good movie/video game that will occupy their time for a while ! Wink

Just put a lock on your bedroom door, turn the TV up loud so they don't here anything and go for it. Shower time as well is a bonus. But scheduling a date night at least 2x a month minimum (if you can go for once a week great) where you don't have to worry about the kids at all is awesome.

"Date night" this Friday Smile.

Once a month is our minimum...mostly cause wife works shift work so scheduling is an issue.

So, today is my son's 20th birthday(s), ow however you want to say it. I'm sitting here realizing that with the 3 of them and my daughter, I have 62 1/2 years of parenting.

At the risk of being depressing, the only advice I have for young or expectant parents, the reality is, it doesn't get easier, it just get different.

Just read my own post, thats actually 82 1/2 years of parenting. See, it also causes a loss of digital coordination. Life Before kids - Page 2 Icon_smile

I like this Freeman!! I am a young parent and having a baby isn't easy, it isn't difficult either but it is very different. I didn't change my life after having my daughter I only adapted. I am a full time student, a full time soccer coach, I (try) to work out 5 days a week and still spend about 6 hours a day or so with my daughter!!! (she goes to bed at 7:30) I miss my free time of hanging out with friends and the disposable income but I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

You'll find yourself in new circle of friends as you get into other activities with your daughter, dance, pre-school, soccer or whatever. Be prepared for the loss of identity as you become "someone's Dad/Mom". Theres people I've known for years and I still don't know their first names. As you look forward to the day of not worrying about diapers, you need to develop a sixth sense of where the cleanest washrooms are. (Kids WILL NOT go in a bathroom that they think is dirty.)

But, as I said, enjoy it, it doesn't get easier, just different.

My "kids are 31, 33, 38 and 36, and have gotten together to make sure that we have a place that is safer for us to live in, no stairs, and to make sure that we do not have to worry about expenses.
"Wow", is all I can say!
My advise is to have lots of kids, so that you have lots of places to live! lol
Our house is listed for sale, our new house , smaller and unfortunately not the great view, was purchased yesterday. Way too many changes and 20 years too soon.

Ours wasn't planned either.
Turns out we had a "shotgun" wedding without even knowing there was ammo.

Since then, we've been trying for #2...but no luck yet.

Unfortunately...we're also reaching the point where it would be unreasonable to pursue.

Having kids sure changed my life, for the better. The hubby and I were planning on traveling more but those plans changed after I took that home pregnancy test. At the time my hubby was more excited about the pregnancy then I was. I was scared cause I was 35 and had never been pregnant before. Pregnancy agreed with me, I felt amazing and healthy.

Stop trying AGEsAces and chances are you'll have an easier time conceiving. Good luck.

We weren't "trying" the first time...IMHO...we should just keep practicing...and eventually something should "click" Very Happy.

The AAs were unable to conceive children and decided to use a
surrogate father to start their family.
On the day the proxy father was to arrive, Mr. AA kissed his wife goodbye and said, "Well, I'm off now The man should be here soon."
Half an hour later, just by chance, a door-to-door baby photographer happened to ring the doorbell, hoping to make a sale.
Good morning, Ma'am", he said, "I've come to...''
Oh, no need to explain," Mrs. AA cut in, embarrassed, "I've been expecting you."
"Have you really?" said the photographer. "Well, that's good. Did you know babies are my specialty?"
"Well that's what my husband and I had hoped. Please come in and have a seat" After a moment she asked, blushing, "Well, where do we start?"
"Leave everything to me. I usually try two in the bathtub, one on the couch, and perhaps a couple on the bed. And sometimes the living room floor is fun. You can really spread out there."
"Bathtub, living room floor? No wonder it didn't work out for Harry and me!"
"Well, Ma'am, none of us can guarantee a good one every time. But if we try several different positions and I shoot from six or seven angles, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results."
"My, that's a lot!" gasped Mrs. AA.
"Ma'am, in my line of work a man has to take his time. I'd love to be in and out in five minutes, but I'm sure you'd be disappointed with that."
"Don't I know it," said Mrs. AA quietly.
The photographer opened his briefcase and pulled out a portfolio of his baby pictures. "This was done on the top of a bus," he said.
"Oh my God!" Mrs.. AA exclaimed, grasping at her throat.
"And these twins turned out exceptionally well - when you consider their mother was so difficult to work with."
"She was difficult?" asked Mrs. AA.
"Yes, I'm afraid so I finally had to take her to the park to get
the job done right. People were crowding around four and five deep to get a good look"
"Four and five deep?" said Mrs. AA, her eyes wide with
amazement.
"Yes", the photographer replied. "And for more than three hours, too. The mother was constantly squealing and yelling - I could hardly concentrate, and when darkness approached I had to rush my shots. Finally, when the squirrels began nibbling on my equipment, I just had to pack it all in." Mrs. AA leaned forward. "Do you mean they actually chewed on your, uh...equipment? "
"It's true, Ma'am, yes.. Well, if you're ready, I'll set-up my
tripod and we can get to work right away."
"Tripod?"
"Oh yes, Ma'am. I need to use a tripod to rest my Canon on. It's much too big to be held in the hand very long."
Mrs. AA fainted.
