I have 2 toddlers and I sometimes try and use those "pink" spots reserved for parents with small children. Let me tell you...they are hard to come by! I notice alot of peopke who do not have children parking there. Common courtesy has gone out the window.

I have my 3-year-old daughter...and up until recently would use that pink spot.

IMHO...if the kid(s) can walk on their own...it's time to give up that spot to someone with younger children.

You know, there might be a reason to take up more space. When the boys were younger, I owned a 3/4 ton GMC van which we needed to haul 4 kids and a triplet stroller. I would regularly "park like an asshole" and take 2 stalls, as I needed the room on the passenger side to park the stroller as we unloaded 3 kids from the van and strapped them into the stroller. I regularly parked at an angle taking 2 stalls so no one could crowd the passenger side when we were inside.

Now, I just continue to park like an asshole cause I got into the habit. Very Happy

ugg and the pink spots being used by people with handicap signs, when there are perfectly good handicap spots thats real freaking annoying. If you cant read the sign and distinguish it, maybe you should not be driving?

I actually got out of my van this weekend and told a guy he was a complete fricking asshole for doing that. I advised him its people like him that cause others to leap into road rage and he was lucky I was in a good mood. Piece of garbage did not even have the balls to say anything back.. just scurried into the store with his wife and kids.
Put upright nails under his tires .

AGEsAces- sorry if that was you that I backed into! I am too old to look in my back mirror or turn my head! I do try and go slow to give the pedestrians time to yell for help!

I usually park in the middle of the white line, this way my car door doesn't bash the car besides me, as the people who paint the lines are being paid by the lot owners, who want to jam as many cars on the lot!
Check out Costco's white lines and you will find them about 2 feet wider than others, because they actually think that one should be able to open their car doors without smashing the car beside them.
If everyone parked in the midddle of the white lines, the lot owner would lose 2 spots in a long line and everyone would have fewer dents in their car!

So everyone from now on start parking in the middle of the white line!!
If you think that you have to park inside the white lines than you are a typical Canadian nerd!

oo geez does anyone watch that Canadas Worst driver? Last night they told this one old lady that they could not let her continue on the show, she was too much of a danger to herself and others.

She says she is a good driver
1) never looks when backing up
2) never stops and stops signs
3) prone to stepping on the gas instead of brake
4) prone to acute angina attacks brought on by stress.

So even though she admitted she probably should not be driving she said she was going to continue to drive anyway.

I refuse to be placed into the rigid box of parking conformity set out by the man. Those white lines represent little more than a brazen attempt to advance the socialist agenda. Once everyone is pre-conditioned to the notion of equal parking space for all, the plan to implement full wealth redistribution cannot be far behind.

Or...the parking lots will be less congested, there will be fewer doors getting dinged, and people will actually learn how to drive.

5) admittedly drinks and drives on bingo night

So, if she is so bad as to not continue on the show, does she win the title of Canada's worst driver?
