Well I would not go that are as to suggest all Jewish TV network heads are Zionists, there's no question that it has influenced American foreign policy. What's more ironic is most Israeli Jews want peace, and are willing to talk turkey with the Pals.

I sure as hell hope they don't make the internet a targeted commodity for ownership. The way technology has evolved, I'm not sure if they could even achieve that. Even if they did, I'm sure some network savvy individuals would get around it.

There is nothing wrong with being pro-Israel. It's when you let your personal convictions interfere with your business ethics and practices.

i dont understand your question and or point. my point was people are free to see things their own way and speak their minds. unlike the writers, contributors and editors at asper controlled canwest media.

What? No way. Why should I start looking at someone else's posts (plural) to try to figure out what YOU mean in one of YOUR posts?

Sorry, Trin. Needed to clarify my point.

I've already mentioned this on a number of occasions. I used Triniman's article to substantiate my claim.

Neither do I as LJ is making oblique inferences, again, and not providing examples.

what doesnt surprise me is the extent of shenanigans and improper dealings of the aspers and canwest. this is only natural to them. what surprises me is the speed and passion at which people rise to defend them. why?. must be something subconscious

Are you saying that people should not bring their personal convictions to bear in their business practices?

What do you have against the Aspers? Is it their money? Their empire? Their politics? Or is it their cultural background? Where are the examples of ethical breaches? Please cite some.

"Peter Charles Newman, CC, CD (born 10 May 1929) is a Canadianjournalist and writer.
Born in
Vienna, Austria, Newman emigrated from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia to Canada in 1940 as a Jewish refugee. His father, Peter, was a wealthy factory owner. Newman was educated at Upper Canada College, where he was a member of Seaton's House, and the University of Toronto. He has been a reporter for the Financial Post, served as editor of the Toronto Star, and was the long-time editor of Maclean's, stewarding its transformation from a general interest magazine to a weekly newsmagazine. He continues to write a column for the periodical. In 1978 he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada and was promoted to the rank of Companion in 1990.

Newman is widely respected for his intimate knowledge and understanding of Canadian business leaders. His 1975 book,
The Canadian Establishment was widely acclaimed. Newman made his name as an author in the 1960s with the publication of two books: Renegade in Power: The Diefenbaker Years (1963), a study of the government of John George Diefenbaker that some say helped destroy the Tory leader's career, and The Distemper of Our Times (1968), an examination of Canadian politics during the era of Lester Pearson.

On 12 September 2005, Newman announced the publication of
The Secret Mulroney Tapes: Unguarded Confessions of a Prime Minister, a biography of former Canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney, whom he considers a friend. The information released to the press contained several surprising revelations, including an allegation by Mulroney that Pierre Trudeau's contribution "was not to build Canada but to destroy it." Later the same day, Mulroney issued a press release stating he felt "devastated" and "betrayed" by the publication of information he had understood to be confidential. Shortly after the publication of The Secret Mulroney Tapes, both Mulroney and Conrad Black filed suit against Newman.

Newman has been married four times, once to writer
Christina McCall. He lives with his fourth wife, Alvy Newman, in Toronto, Ontario."

what i meant by shenanigans and improper dealings are described in the book "Asper nation: canadas most dangerous media company" by marc edge. absolute proof is not necessary to decribe ones opinion on a subject. its a viewpoint not a legal document.

I did not say anything about Newmans character or reliability. But his is an opinion. How is someone's opinion proof of anything?
