damn I can't see it from here. I am facing north. If I was on the east side of our building I would have great veiw as I am on the higher floors of our building

I was driving down York this morning and saw 12 cop cars parked along the street....presumably they are attending court.
Is this a proper use of resources...couldn't they have gone down in another manner or, in fewer cars?

different court cases, no exact time that the case is going to be heard, they pretty much have to sit there until the case is heard and then they can leave...could be 5 minutes.. could be 5 hours.

A large number of police have converged on the Canwest Place at Portage and Main. Police have confirmed that the building is being evacuated because of a security concern.
Police arrived at the building at about 10:15 a.m. and did not at first issue an evacuation order, but a short time later began shuttling people out onto the street and asking people to move away from the base of the tower.
One man CTV News spoke to says he was not given any indication about why the building was evacuated, but says he did not see any signs of fire.
He says it was an orderly procedure and adds that he feels safe in the building. His company has only been a tenant for one month.

why would they need donations? Its a Fed building.. all cost overruns will be born by them. The HRM will never need donations again.
