ah, but you see the other side of the fence is just as stubborn a lot of the times too. anyone who doesnt immediately assume the worst and jump on the cop bashing bandwagon is just an apologist cop lover. its a debate that wont end.

i have no problem bashing individuals who make bad decisions, like the guys in vancouver lying on the stand about the airport thing, thats just not cool and theres no way to defend that, same with the taman thing.

theres certain things worth getting angry over and theres things like this winnipeg video that are just blown way out of proportion.


are there people that think cops can do no wrong? absolutely.
but theres just as many people who seem to think that cops can do no right either.

Adam...think in terms of the cumulative effect all this has on what we perceive the cops of today to be.

In the past I tended to believe that the cops most likely had it right and got their man, so to speak.

Now, I actually think that the person most probably is innocent.

That's not a good way to think of our protectors...as something to be protected from.

I really think you are reacting to a unfortunite incident , and seem to be pissed at them since . You are entitled to your feelings but to label all of them as lyers that is to much .

They are not perfect but they beat the hell out of the crap that wants to take over.

Some are worse than liars. (Of course, some are great guys that hate the b.s. that some others are creating.)

But, when I see a pattern I call bullshit.

Sorry dude but here is where it is at in Canada...

"A Person is presumed innocent until that same person has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt that they are guilty of a Crime"...and...

And just because some cop somewhere decided to "Charge a Person with a Crime"...and...

And that is all a cop's (our protectors) responsibility is which is to charge a person with a crime and where a cops responsibility or job ends period...and...

And then our Courts in Canada take over from there...and...

And the only way I ever want to see it in Canada otherwise we will have Police as judge, jury, administrators, and or prosecutors and a "Police State" instead of a "Democracy in Canada"...GGF

Pav...You should somehow make the following connection which is the reason why the guy got off lighter than he may have is because the Police did what they did to him when they arrested him...and...

And...If the police had used proper "Protocol" when they arrested him...

The guy may have had to spend maybe not a whole lot longer in jail but who truly knows after the facts?...and...

And to boot as a result of the Police not following proper "Protocol" that same criminal now has grounds for a law suit...and...

And what truly angers me is that it is actually the so call perb that's laughing all the way to the bank because some nit whit Cop(s) didn't follow proper "Protocols" when they arrested him...and...

Nah, you're both wrong. The judge gave him a more lenient sentence because the police lied. They were caught in their lie through the video.

Once someone lies their whole testimony is suspect.

GOM your actually right about the Police lying part which was technically the reason the judge used for the lighter sentence ...and...

And the logic or reasoning used by the judge is simple...Why would the Police lie if they had nothing to hide on the subject matter?...and...

And yeah...The Police were discredited as a result of lying and that therefore opens the door to the upcoming lawsuit by the perb as a result of "All the Police did to him when they arrested him and also their lying etc"...and...

And which had the Police followed proper "Police Arrest Protocol and also had not lied etc"...

It would never had allowed for any lawsuit or other by the perb now...GGF

Update:

When we filed our report the cops said it was simple and that ythey would go arrest theguy.

Last night they backed-down when the guy showed them a document that was an old rental agreement and said he was appealling an Order.

I asked for their badge numbers as I would be following this up with a higher authority, and they would not supply me with that information.

I did get through to some sargent that eventually did provide me with their numbers, but only after a major hassle.

Seems they do have something to hide.

Anyway....this is getting to be way too surreal.

so the guy is living in a house with no water right now? Or did he show the OLD rental agreement to the city and get the water turned back on as well?

As far as I know, the water has not been turned back on.

At last contact with the Water Dept. thay said that they never had a situation like this and will take the property owner's advice over a 'tenant's'.

But frankly, nothing would surprise me. They may say I have to provide this mofo with food as well. Suckers of male chickens!!!

so at this point can they not close the aparment do to unsanitary conditions?

I know that might suck to get it "reopened" after that. But cant see it sucking any more then it does now.

I have sent off an inquiry to 311 asking about this...no water scenario.

I've yet to hear back from them.

I would imagine that it's against some health code....but with what's been happening with this so far, I wouldn't be surprised if they ordered me to give him water. It's that fcuked up imo.

And my translation of a perb is the guy "laughing all the way to the bank" as a result of what the Police did which was not follow proper "Police Arrest Protocols" and what they did to him when they arrested him and also lied about it in "Court"...and...

And then that same perb is now going to cost "All of us Taxpayers" lots of money...So yeah...I guess he must be some sort of perb or something and the police involved therefore should be what?...and...

And one way or the other...Call the guy what you like because he is still the one laughing all the way to the bank because the Police are wrong and have been caught being wrong and or lying and also caught breaking the very laws they themselves are suppose to fall under because "No Police should ever be above the Law" in a Democracy...and...

And for me this case just outlines a bigger picture going on with the Police that so many have been ignoring for far too long in Wpg...GGF
