So City Council approves allowing people to throw away more but then stop them from having larger recycling carts.
What an ass backwards city this is.

And what exactly is it you are doing again to make this city the new Calgary?sputnik wrote:So City Council approves allowing people to throw away more but then stop them from having larger recycling carts.

Thank God. Winnipeg is saved. I will sleep better now knowing that our saviour is on the job.Deank wrote:Sputnik for Council!

They dropped the ball bigtime. They took too long to take this to council AND they did not properly investigate the idea to begin with.
I think you are the last person I would look to for advise on improving Winnipeg.sputnik wrote:My intention is not to turn Winnipeg into Calgary but rather force people to rethink why they are so opposed to change.
If you are going to respond negatively with the assumption that I am trying to turn Winnipeg into Calgary whenever I post you should probably save your old fingers from typing and go back to telling kids to get off your lawn.

I think you understand I am tired of your continual run down of Winnipeg that is usually accompanied by your continual comparison to wonderful Calgary.
So as long as you post troll like comments like "What an ass backwards city this is" unaccompanied with advise on how it can be improved I will challenge you.
I look forward to your constructive criticism.

oh just wow.
Just took the garbage out and there has been one bag sitting in the bin for about 5 days now, in the relative cold we have been having. HOLY SHITE!!!.. does that ever stink. I am not sure if I want to know what garbage is going to smell like after being in one of those black bins for 5 days in the middle of summer. Is there even possible a potential for combustion at that point? Who the hell figured these things being black would be a good thing?
oh I know.. used to have one, it was bad... but this was worse, at least those are open air basically, these little things are air tight and work as perfect little sun ovens me thinks.
Anyone who has seen these in other places.. were they grey/black there too?
