I was just looking at the forecast and it looks amazing! Looks like summer has finally arrived. Anyone have any plans for the last long weekend of summer?

What did you end up doing for August long? September long weekend is 4-days for me, which will involve some golfing. May as well, while the weather is nice.

August long was a blow out. We didn't end up doing anything. At this moment, we are looking at buying a pop up tent trailer so we can head out of town as much as possible. If we end up finding before the weekend then we will be going camping! YAY!!!!

It's really depressing that summer is almost over and winter will be here soon. Most of Canada didn't even really have a summer, even more depressing. I was out in Jasper yesterday, and in Valemount BC at the Chinook Salmon spawning grounds watching them do their thing; it was 30+ outside. I've only seen this a few times this year, less then I'm used to. I might be working this Sept. Long.

Sigh, get ready to get your winter parkas out, folks.

I am quite happy with +22-25, I am not a fan of +30. I enjoy a nice summer day with a cool breeze....nothing worse then sweating to death, with no relief in site. Suppose to be +25 tomorrow and +27 on Tuesday.

I like the same range of temperatures, but I would have been happier with more sunny days. It feels like I haven't had my fill of sunshine yet.

Winter better be mild!

Tis the busy season at work, its very likely I'll work right through the weekend. Make hay while the sun shines, and when I look at the forecast for the coming week I mean that quite literally!

LMAO....not me. I usually switch to red wine come fall and winter. But I must get motivated to start working out again.

Try working in a fast-paced fine dining establishment baking, chopping, decorating, mixing, trimming, grating, sorting.....kills my appetite.

My daughter asked me today if I am visiting her at her cottage, just past Grand Beach! My wife hasn't been there yet, so I am looking forward to going out there! It is about a 75 minute drive.

Change in plans, taking daughter back to Brandon today. Pretty sad state when the only excitement in life is a 6 hour road trip. I'll tell you how the drive was later....wait, I can do that now, it was flat and boring.

I'm gonna spend the vast majority of my waking hours outdoors. Starting the weekend right with breakfast at Sal's sur L'Esplanade, followed by a wander around the riverwalk, may hike from The Forks back to Kildonan Park (again) - although this time I'll wear sunscreen.

After that, the weekend will involve beer, fire, burnt food, soccer, and slurpees.
