I wonder if the impending US financial collapse has anything to do with the Amero?

USA fails to become #1 socialist country on planet...markets implode Naurwb6-139x127 I seem to recall reading some where that the USA will implode their economy in an effort to drag Canada and Mexico down with them, and convince us we need to have one "North American Currency". I don't feel that it would be so bad. I know lots of others who are afraid and strongly opposed to change.

I think my retirement just went into Plan85. Hope everyone realizes that pension plans rely heavily on the performance of the markets. Any pension plans that have to have the valuations done anytime soon are going to be pretty scary.

The amount of accumulated debt in the US was going to bite the entire country in its own rump eventually. I think the last mortgage giveaway they had was pretty much the nail in the coffin before the crashes and implosions were to occur. When I say all of this, I mean the general mindset that the average Joe seems to have in their economic habits. Borrowing for a car, then their home, another car, credit cards for pretty much anything. Living large and carefree had to have consequences eventually. We're not much better here in Canada either.

Yes this will bite us remains to be seen how bad , hopefully America learns to regulate their industry better. This is something that all the ceo's down there should have and did see coming from the start. Greed got in the way . This is why a world of no rules as Tman wants doe's not work you can not expect humans to beat greed it as never happens. It is our nature to get as much as we can. Course I could hear him telling me how Jefferson would have avoided this and how we all would have policed our selves well they did not do it so there goes that excuse

I don't think that regulation is the answer. As said, l:iving large is the cause. I believe in the free market system and I believe that this will work itself out. It is truly unfortunate that so many people will be financially hurt by this, but I didn't hear much complaining when they were reaping the benefit.

So Gernmany has now said that they will gaurentee 100% of all savings in banks..

100%? holy cow!...... so is everyone going to pull all money from every other bank and head to Germany now?

Okay most of us on here are probably covered just fine by Canada 100K amount. but still for the people with tons of cash ...a 100% gaurentee your money will still be around ... gotta be tempting.

The banks are not failing it is hype from over active business writers on a slow day . Remember our system is alot different then the free for all down south , the system Tman says can regulate its self
