great show... better concept.

Why dont we make better use of our court buildings and have night court? like real night court ( not just later on Tuesdays) . all the time. supposedly there is a back log of cases or whatever that cause people to sit on double time for so long. We have the buildings. Lets elect some more judges and get court flowing,.

Why dont we do this? Anyone have a reasonable explanation?

I never knew why this didn't exist in the first place.....most people who work, do so during the 7 am to 5 pm window...and it's not easy getting time off to go to court. So having a evening court system in addition to daytime, does have some logic to it.

However, it might turn out that not a lot of people in the law industry want to work evenings and nights...and if they do decide to be in favor, they may ask for more compensation for evening work....

frick em... pick a different lawyer if yours is such an ass.

I suspect once 2 for 1 credit disappears clients and lawyers will be a lot more eager to get cases over with quicker when they suspect they will be found guilty.

They don't have night court because they are not interested in serving the people. A government with nads would see the need and would mandate it. Then it would be up to justice to execute. It might cost more but that is what needs to be done. How many of those construction zone tickets would have been contested were it more convenient for peeps?

I don't have a lawyer...but easier said than done I would imagine. And I wasn't even talking about personal representation....I'm talking about all the staff that's required to operate a court....such as the judge, his staff, security, clerks, admins...it starts to add up, even before you factor in asking for a second shift to work the evenings...and whatever "extra" they might want in order to be available for those hours. Just take a look at the nursing example....where many of them don't want to work evenings, and those who do, will only do it if they get some kind of extra credit or pay premium.

....is all I was saying. Smile Just trying to play a little devil's advocate here....

There may be some professionals that don't want to work off hours but too bad so sad. They rarely have the pull to insist upon certain shifts. Then there are the peeps that prefer working evenings and weekends.

But as Deank said here is the job. Take it or leave it.

Actually, I think if it were implemented, you'd be surprised at who would jump at the chance.

There's many people out there who would prefer working at night (myself included), but there's no jobs in their field which meet those hours.

Yay indeed. The only reality show I like is The Amazing race. Just my luck that'll be one of the canceled shows.
