I hate it when newspapers have articles with mispelt words.

Send the paper and the writer an update on that.
especially since Co-op has it spelled properly in their news release and on their website
http://www.rrcoop.com/RR/whatnew_details.jsp?ID=94

This payment will be in the form of a cheque and should be in your mail the week of February 9, 2009.

I just used the "report a typo" function under the article. I suggest everyone do that same.

I'm a member but don't always go there for gas I'm afraid. I used to buy lumber from their Dufferin location btw.

My wife complains that I have gas all the time, but I don't get no stinking rebate for that.

to bad you don't have a way to capture your methane, you could power your house, car and the yacht you'd have from all the money you saved! hehe

Thats a great idea, but I'd be worried about fires. Look whats happened to some local hog barns lately due to increased methane levels.

That's crazy! Does the owner of Shell fill up at Esso?

...come to think of it....12.5 cents / litre rebate seems awfully high...???

heh...I just read the story... Embarassed

I guess I'll be using them exclusively from now on.

often co-op is the first to lower thier prices...and last to raise them. not always though. and yes they give the standard annoying as hell 3.5 cents... really people how about you all give that gimmic up and just put the advertised price at what the pump price is?

Didn't Exxon announce record profits a couple of days ago.

Even if Co-op charges the same price at the pump as everyone else,
at least they kick back a few bucks to the purchasers at the end of the year.

Do any of their competitors (Esso, Shell, Petro Canada, etc.) pay dividends to their customers?

I do not know why EVERYONE is not a Coop member Question

All gas companies must have had their best year ever for profits last year. How could they not???

If you are a Red River Coop member, most coop gas stations outside of Winipeg do not honour the membership number. Not sure what the boundary is but I do remember getting gas at a coop in Brandon and they did not take my membership number as they are not a Red River Coop site and neither is Morris for that matter.

yup there are several different co-ops. Most of the ones outside the city included ALL PURCHASES in the rebates so them teaming up with the Winnipeg based Red River ones would not work well.

want to save on tirs or some other more expensive purchase big time? Go get a membership at one of the co-ops outside the city, check the prices and get your rebate
