i remember my old man flipping out, like really flipping out when it hit 40 cents per liter, at 50 he conceeded, "whats next, ten dollar packs of smokes??"

What the hell is a litre as compared to the bigger, much bigger gallon? Come on casual , you cannot mix volumes in the sandbox!

$2.56 filled my 8 gallon tank x 32 cents- beat that!!
It cost me zero when I used my grandfather's gas tank that he had on his farm- yuk, yuk, and that was before "purple" gas for farms.
